I like Gorillaz... Maybe not that big a fan of their newest CD, but they are definitely a unique band in the mainstream today.

The Clash has long been a mainstream band, i think it's fine. I would puke if they were to work with One Republic or any other of these annoying pop-bands coming out

You can't count Mick and Paul as being 'The Clash' first of all, and second they are all old friends from London's music scene and I don't see anything wrong with playing on a couple of tracks for a friend. That said, I saw them perform that track on Steven Colbert and its funny because you can't even hear a guitar on the track and the Bass sounds like a synthesizer and Mick and Paul looked old and were dressed in silly sailor outfits. But you know what? They were having a good time so more power to 'em.

no it doesnt. since the band is nothing more than a cartoon. they are not even a real band, if you watched the documentary of "Gorillaz"

The Clash are still a huge influence in many Latin American countries so step off your high horses for a moment and stop judging people....

Ok, was thinking about this for days. Every my friend is listening to The Clash, Ramones, Sex Pistols and stuff, and I hate that music. For Ramones, I think they were never punk, they were more liberate then others, except Johnny. Sex Pistols were always bad for me, no meaning in their songs. And dont know whats wrong with clash? Sold out? how ?

I used to listen to the sex pistols back 10 years ago when i was like 12-13 years old but never really got into it.... As for Ramones they are dumb and it doesnt even sound good except 3-4 songs (sheena is a punk rocker isn't so bad).... I never liked The Clash (beside "guns of brixton" but the cover by many other bands are even better : inner terrestrials, dropkick murphys, bolchoi, etc...)

The Clash were always sellouts, they were in for the money, they always had videoclips, they were on the radio and on the TV, played in big festivals, etc...

Crass song "punk is dead" target the sex pistols AND the clash, read the lyrics

Wait, why are Crass always targeting "punk" bands in their songs ? I mean greatest rip off is like, targeting cockney rejects and other oi bands ? Dont know what to think my heads mess up  Why are the clash sellout, if they had the message ( in early song, at least my friends say so, I dont know)? dont know how to prove my opinions damn it! :/ Its just, I like Crass, like their message, but disagree with their ways of dealing with system - pacifist. I think we must destroy the system with violence and then comes real peace. And my friends say this "They dont play good music, they have good messages but if they could they would play on a big festival as well, but no one wanted them in punk scene". Dont fuckning know what to say. I know hes wrong but Im speachless. I know Crass is diffrent and thats why its good. But why is he targeting all the other punk bands. Like they care? Why targeting oi music? :@ this makes me angry when I really cant call myself an anarchist, becouse there is so fucking much that I dont know.

P.S probably ungovnm. will answer all my questions, so dont be angry about me posting this here, Im just...bloody mess.
