However cliche this post may be I want to know what you think. I think about this a lot, because lets face it I'm an animal, and who the hell wants to be alone right. Of course I want somebody who I can talk to on an intellectual level. I don't know what it is, but it's impossible for me to find a girl that I can have a conversation about anarchism with, without her following some preconceived notion that I'm either a terrorist or trying to be purposely rebellious. I dated a chick who liked punk music but it's just kinda bullshit because I'd try and talk to her about this stuff, I even had her watch a little documentary on Emma to grab some attention, and she just didn't care. My way of looking at it, is are you not listening to the lyrics of the music you like or anything. I honestly can't believe somebody could listen to Anarcho-punk music and not get anything out of it.

Anyways your thoughts, past dating experience, and history talking to girlfriends about this sorta thing.

    That's why i'm single.

An anarchist girl is very hard to find, even the politically/socially conscious girls are hard to find (i'm not being sexist but it's a fact that there is less girls than boys in the movement, unfortunatly) and i can't date a girl that doesn't care about politics and what is happenning in the world... at least a minimum of political consciousness...

I also had a few relations with punk girls, they were interessed by politics but definatly not anarchist... most of them were interessed into it just to look cool to my eyes, i thought they wanted to learn but after our relation was over they just didn't care anymore about the whole political thing..

Maybe I'm crazy but if I'm with a female politics are usually the last thing on my mind. Sometimes it is more important to focus on the things you have in common and not dwell on the things that will end in disagreement.

    *shrugs*
There's a quote from someone I know that I live by: all men are assholes and all women are bitches.
If you expect that, it won't ever be as bad as it is for you now, it might just be as bad as the statement though.
Besides, I honestly believe that it'll work a lot better if you're NOT looking for anyone in particular, but if it just happens.
Anyway past experiences: first real girlfriend was a psycho-borderline-chick that nearly made me kill myself, by making me feel completely useless, inept, indecent and any other negative adjective you can think of. Second girlfriend was an artist, so I had far less problems talking to her about my ideas, especially as she was a vegetarian, these are the kinds of people that at least think a BIT.
My politics however are not on the forefront when it comes to social interactions. Everyone already KNOWS my views and if they don't, I just assume they aren't interested. Hell, was thinking of actually starting an ARA-chapter around here with a couple of members on here and I couldn't even fit their views into mine, that's how stubborn I am in my views. So anyone treading on the subject better tread lightly.
What I'm trying to say is this: it's useless trying to talk to someone on your views if they're just not interested, especially if you're passionate about them.

For me when i date a girl she has to be atleast somewhat socially/politically conscious. She doesn't need to be an anarchist or a socialist (even though i would love that) but atleast has to have some understanding of the world. And not telling me that she loves Sarah Palin because she's such a hardcore feminist. (I actually knew a girl in school like that.) Just a bare minimum of knowledge and understanding is good for me even though that's kind of difficult to find.

I have tried over the past six months with two different girls but both ended in catastrophic failure. One already had a boyfriend and the other is a lesbian. But can't let it get me down.

I really don't like stuff to get too serious. The last relationship that I was in lasted less than a month and it was with a girl who used to hang around with me and my group of friends and still does, we're still friends.

She's a commie/anarchist but she's not punk, she just likes to party and has some dreadlocks now (I had too at the time), we were more like "friends with benefits". The first time we, well, got together was when me and a bunch of our friends passed the night at her house and we were all so high and fucked and it just happened...She offered me a bong on Valentine's Day :D

It was all fun, I don't have the will and I'm not serious enough to handle a relationship for more than a month, more or less...

So, if you're a teen or a young adult (16 to 20-something) like myself, just shit on all that stuff and have fun. You have all the time in the world to fall in deep-deep love and all that shit :lmao:

well whatever happens, happens. just keep an open mind, i'd say. the important thing, for me at least, is if you can talk to your girlfriend or boyfriend about anything, even if it gets heated, and still retain your point of view, but maybe refine it. so in other words, a girlfriend or boyfriend who can open your mind but not try and change it. at least i've had the best experiences with those kinds of relationships, even if they don't really go anywhere.

Man, I got fucking lucky. My girlfriend isn't completely anarchist, but agrees with almost all of the ideals and understands where we're coming from. She's mostly against the violent militant part of it. She's really easy to talk to and very smart, and we're actually supposed to start a organic garden soon, to both be self reliant now, and not have to support corporations, but whenever some apocalyptic shit goes down, we're one step ahead. Favorite bands are Aus-Rotten and Anti-Product. Not to mention she's a beauty.I got me a keeper.

i wouldn't call myself an anarchist, but i would definitely say i am a socially and politically conscious female. it's sad to say it, but there's really just not many of us. most girls just don't really give a shit i guess, at least around here.

Well I'm the interesting Anarchist when it comes to my boyfriend taking me along to parties and drinks nights with various people that he knows....him on the other hand is more of a disillusioned character who would love to live in a communal based society but he feels weighed down by the world....poor thing but at least he know that I can make him feel good when it counts lol...

Besides....t would seem that my energy and personality in relation to my subversiveness is a bit of a secret attraction for him....we went to a gig last night and I had been thrashing about in the pit while he watched from the bar and in between sets we made out while I was still dripping sweat, reeking of beer, sweat and patchouli and still charged up from the last band. He looks fairly "straight-down-the-line" but I think there is a punk on the inside. LOL.

my last girlfriend dumped my soory ass because i refused to buy her CoCa-Cola,she started screaming at me that i m insane, scum that doesn t want to pay a soft drink to a pretty lady,so i turned my back and left her screaming and yellin at me.
about the relatinoships.it s hard to find a normal partner without prejudice about your opinions, statements, what you wear, and storys that i should act my age.few of them accepted me the way i am,but most of them think that anarchy and freedom are shit for maniacs without life or purpose in life.i can date with anyone that doesn t bother me much, but i always stick with my principles and that s the reason i always end up being dumped.

    :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I have actually met a girl a while ago, she is a socialist / anarchist, and we have exactly the same views, we can talk about absolutely everything and come to the same conclusion, only problem is that we live far apart, but I'm moving to her city soon. I am the only person who actually found the perfect girl? :D

My girlfriend: She is a lovecake.
We're always talking about politics and things. And while she's not an anarchist, she shares quite a few views with me, and we can certainly accept the ones that we don't agree on.
It's just nice to have somebody intelligent around, who agrees with me on the fact that if you're all "Politics are boring, I don't even pay attention to them", then you's a dick. Because really, how can you not care about how you're forced to live?

My wife has does not the same views as me but we sit on the same side of the fence, she is very definitely anti-capatilist and hates ineffective governments and oppression or discrimination in any form. She is certainly green and vegan conscious (although not a practicing vegan, nor vegetarian) and above all she respects my point of view.

well my girl is a liberal (unfortunately) shes apparently punk but she doesn't make her own clothes or listen to much of the music, but she is loyal and she makes me happy. ive never found anyone really in my county who is a punk so im pretty much all alone. as for religion i hate it, it starts war and fascism it separates people and never unites them.

Anarchist girlfriends are out there! I am one. You could even find a girl who's interested in anarchism who doesn't listen to punk...yet. I understand that its hard to be attracted to someone who's not a punker of some fashion, but ultimately you should look for a girl who's independent and not shallow.
