Personal choices which regards only the peoples involved.

Why do the anarchists care so much about other person's sexuality ? it's just personal choices, what peoples does in their bedroom isn't a political issue..

Yup, I absolutely agree with this Roisu! ;)

And Ungovernable, I have absolutely no idea why some anarchists care so much about what other people do in their personal life. It shocked me to see some anarchist here saying, monogamy should be abolished.

Well it would be completely fine if it was just curiosity, I was curious to hear what other people here thought of non-monogamy and monogamy. However, it draws a line when people say things like "abolish monogamy" and an anarchist I know who said to me about my relationship "i hope it's monogamous". I think that's ridiculous, and absolutely none of their business.

What if... the couple is shouting out hate speech whilst having sex, and there is people in the next apartment getting offended. The walls are like paper thing and yeah. OR! What if there is an election going on INSIDE the bedroom. To build on that idea, what if the two opposing party leaders are having sex in the bedroom while people are voting IN THE SAME BEDROOM. My god, think I am onto something... This may be a conspiracy man, we need to get this shit sorted.

Nether should be enforced but nether should be criminalized. People who gain love connection and happiness from multiple partners have every right to that and people who find it through single partners have just the same right. All thats necessary is open conversation between those holding all opinions.

Monogamy is puerly a concept handed down by the church. Particularly the patriarchal church of the judeo-christian era. Many polytheistic religions (earth based religions) while still believing in gods (and therefore where not anarchistic due to the oppression of believing actions had to be governed by some higher power) did not believe in marriage or monogamy. Physical union was considered beautiful as opposed to 'dirty'.

Overall, I agree with you, but for the sake of Devil's Advocacy, I'd like to stress a couple things: believing in gods doesn't make you anarchistic. What I wish people would understand (not directed specifically at you of course) is that believing in some form of god doesn't make you not an anarchist. Believing in the commonly described Judeo-Christian God certainly does, but animism, for example, doesn't rule out anarchism. These are religions in which, after the harvest, one thanks the spirits of the harvest for helping it to be bountiful, much in the same way that they would thank the workers who harvested it. After killing an animal, they thank the spirit of the animal for letting them use its skin, meat, and bones. What western scholars don't understand, is the concept of having a spirit world that isn't in control over this one or keeping some sort of divine check-book on what you do right and wrong. It especially irks me when people speak of indigenous religion, calling their gods things like the "God of corn." It's not (typically) seen as someone you're subservient to, rather it's someone working along with you, on the spiritual side of things.

Additionally, I don't think that you should speak of the Judeo-Christian tradition as preaching that sex is dirty and that monogamy is required. Christianity does both, however it's still technically halachah (sort of like "legal" in the religion) for a Jew to take as many wives as he can support. Obviously, culture of the time prevents this, much as it prevents the stoning of adulterers. Islam also allows for one to take as many wives as one can support, although there is a cap on it (is it three, or five? I'm not too well versed on the Koran.) Naturally, most Muslims can only support one wife, therefore they only have one (living is much more expensive nowadays that it was back then, shown beautifully in the fact that people would give birth to and support 10 kids very well a hundred or two years ago, now three is pushing it.) Islam itself also doesn't demonize sex and sexuality, neither does Judaism, however in practice, many extremists take things well out of context and out of proportion.

That's not what she's saying, you stupid twat. She's saying that nobody has the right to tell another person that their relationship should be monogamous or non-monogamous, in this case, non-monogamous. That is quite contrary to saying that one should not discuss monogamy and non-monogamy in general.

Why didn't you say that to Ungovernable? When he called me a "dumbass" ?? While I completely disagree with Roisu using the word "twat" (though she obviously was just provoked into doing so because of Ungovernable's insult), she was correct in what she said regarding a discussion on monogamy and non-monogamy. Ungovernable thinks that we shouldn't be allowed DISCUSS things that many people find interesting.
People need to start being more fair. Anom I was happy when you were announced as a moderator, but I most definitely am not when it appears you're just going to take sides. Which is exactly what you just did.

I know perfectly well "dumbass" is not a sexist term, however, both "dumbass" and "twat" (which Roisu may or may not have known the actual meaning of) are insults, that shouldn't be tolerated. And it says this in the points of Unity...
"In all debates, please always pay attention to mutual respect and stay polite while avoiding personal attacks. Fighting each other will lead us nowhere"

I would of expected Anom to know that...and to have mentioned that to Ungovernable, just as much as she mentioned to Roisu that sexist insults are not allowed.

    because dumbass isn't sexist.

    ??????????????????????????

what the fuck is this big lie ?

of so mods aren't allowed to have their own opinions now?

You insulted me a couple of time, so you dont have any lessons to give to anybody

It also says that we should center on what unite us not what divise us, and now it also says that we do not recognize hate speech as free speech.
So i would have expected you to know that.... and to have mentioned that to NGNM85, just as much as you mentioned to me that insults are not allowed ;)

I smell hypocrisy, unfairness and partiality

AnarchoFem, you might remember that when Ungovernable called someone a pussy i did mention that... As for taking sides, that is not what i am doing. I just do not think it is acceptable to tell one person he is a sexist (over what at least once was a langual missunderstanding) and to not tell someone it's not cool to call someone a twat. I am allowed to say when something is not ok and i don't care on what side that person is of anything, although i don't see much need to tell Ungovernable if he's saying something that isn't totally pc, you'll have written several posts on it before i even see it.
Also dumbass isn't sexist and if i should start to point out every insult here to everyone, i wouldn't have time for anything else. I am sure you don't need me to defend you for that.

I already said I completely disagree with that poster's sexist language! So don't imply I didn't. As I've already mentioned before, people love to jump to conclusions about what people say.
I know dumbass is not sexist (I've also already said this)...I think sexist insults should not be allowed but nor should any insults...it's as simple as that. As I've already said, in the points of unity, it says sexism is not accepted...but it ALSO says personal attacks aren't either. And you are now a moderator who is meant to stick to those points....
