Not EXACTLY sci-fi. But I'm watching this new movie called "The Human Centipede" tonight. Supposedly the most disturbing film ever made. If it beats "Old-Boy" then you guys might not be hearing from me for a few weeks.....

is this the one where a scientist wants to make a centipede of humans connecting their lips to other's buttholes and so forth?

The highlight of Willow turning evil was when she rips off Warrens skin, that was pretty funny to be honest. (Bored now!)
Spike is probably the best character in both series for me, last episode of Buffy made me sad =(

And SLIDERS!! Holy shit! Haven't seen that show in years, I must find the whole series and re-watch them. Thanks for mentioning that hahah it will keep me entertained for a while.

Argh, Old Boy is absolutely amazing! I LOVE that film! :p

I'm also delighted to see some Buffy fans here too! I have to say I really liked Buffy as a character....Dawn was annoying as hell and Spike was brilliant!
I am rather embarassed to admit I actually have the c.d for the musical episode because i liked it so much! :p

You know, Buffy was probably my least favorite character on the show... I really wish Faith could have had her own show, she was far more complex and interesting to me then buffy was (and i <3 Eliza Dushku...) But really all the regular charcters were fun, Anya is another fave. and the musical episode was great, but the one where no one can talk because the demons stole everyone's voices is even better imo

Oh wow, they made a CD of it? I do have to admit, Giles singing was awesome hahaha
Buffy fans are taking over this thread rawr!

Okay, I think I have to see this film because that made me burst out laughing.

Anya was hilarious, those floating grinning demons that stole everyone's voice were fucking scary.

Maybe you're right, but I still really liked Buffy...though I admit at times she could be quite irritating, did anyone else find this with Xander??? (Him being irritating). I really liked Anya too! Tara was also great!

Unfortunately I don't know the episode you're referring to here :( I really like the episode after the musical episode i believe...Tabula Rasa, where everybody loses their memory.

And why would it be weird to like Old Boy??...it is one of the best films EVER!!!

Star Trek: TNG far better than the original I think. The original was too corny. DS9 was too heavy all the time. Voyager was good but Enterprise was crap.

What do you mean? Star Trek was never corny! Just look at this fight scene, now tell me with a straight face that that is corny.

Sympathy for Lady Vengeance definitely is. It's not as good as Oldboy but it's still excellent.

I like the original, but I agree TNG was the pinnacle of the franchise. I also hated enterprise (Although Scott Bakula was awesome in Quantum Leap.) What's worse is I really think this is what killed the franchise. I don't think Ds9 or Voyager were as good as TNG, but they were very decent shows, and I was under the impression they were doing quite well. I suspect if they'd kept going forward instead of making a prequel series it would still be on tv today. :(

Haha alright I'm definitely watching it then. As good as Oldboy sounds like an impossibility for a revenge film (which I'm assuming Sympathy for Lady Vengeance is). It just had something to it like no other film I had ever seen before. However I still hold David Lynch's work on a pedestal above all known film, Oldboy is one of the few things to come close.

dude all new sci-fi can never beat the twilight zone. That was some of the best and trippiest political and social commentary I have ever seen.
