Homophobia in the Punk Scene (Total Wreck)

Looka here boys, this is what it comes down to:
People associate the word faggot (and similar terms) with the word gay and all that has to do with gays. Maybe you don't, but most people do, you are just you, a speck on a pebble, you are not most people, and you too (yes, you) can really hurt someone with your words. If you use a word associated with homosexuality in a negative context, you are one degree away from outright gay bashing, and I declare you my enemy.

 

I keep seeing you use PC in a derogatory manner, and you fucks can read the gay men on this site telling you its not right, not to mention your on Anarcho-Punk.net fuck all you anti PC scumbucket fucks use the words all you want, you only distance yourselves from other human beings. But if you use those words around me, I'm going to let you see how much of a PC asshole I can really be, so in closing, Ferago, gilk, and Axehandle go fuck yourselves.

 

If it is like some of you are saying that words like fag doesn't mean anything anymore, why use them then? Maybe instead you should work on your vocabularies and try to find words that does mean something..? Some people here are so convinced they have the right to say what ever they want no matter what and that if someone gets hurt by it, he or she is just overly sensitive and has the choice of listening or what, but why would you want to hurt anyone? You know some will get hurt but still you say it, that's not ok.
Of cos i have hurt people too but if i know someone might get hurt by me saying something i don't say it unless it would be to deliberately hurt that person. Of cos there is such thing as accidentally saying stupid things but that's not the same as what you're doing here.

Not so simple if you say something to someone... If someone comes up to me calling me something very insulting, i don't have the choice of not listening. To not try to be an asshole all the time isn't the same as being for censorship. You must have some time also gotten upset by what someone has said to you, and i doubt you were just putting your fingers in your ears, all happy about how free speach were just used in your presence.

I didn't say whether or not it was "right", but being bothered by common insults is pathetic. I don't really care about connecting with other human beings and being publicly palpable. no... but i mean the word fag is probably the most used insult in america right now and it lost it's original meaning a while ago. complaining about someone saying it and not even using it in the context that makes it offensive is stupid. it isn't like n***er or sp*c at this point. i'm all for beating the shit out of nazis and racists if they like intrude the scene like they did in that article, but as long as they're not up in my face with it i could care less.

all this argument boils down to is PC vs not PC. i dont really see how much more i can push my point that there will be people who you disagree with and who say shit that pisses you off or offends you but crying about it is just making them happier.
