Agh, I'm fucking sick of this shit. 3 weeks ago, one of my friends was kicked out of a restaurant for kissing her girlfriend. One of the basic human needs and wants is happiness. So far as their pursuit if happiness doesn't cause harm to others (ie, pedophiles), I say, go for it!

I have to strip myself away from facebook at times because there is just so much nonchalant hated and bigotry, and I feel like its my duty to counteract these ignorant assholes. I have to sit back take a breather and remember to pick my battles, 'cause there's a lot of pages like that around.

The other day one of my added so called friends, my sisters ex boyfriend who i never liked i might ad, had joined a group called (freely translated from swedish) i bet swedes can get 100 000 fans before imigrants. Imediately i wrote a coment calling him a stupid fucking nazi pig and then removed him from my friendslist there. Not that i think that helped a lot. Not even the first time someone i don't know very well but only met briefly has joined groups like that. Guess the easyness of just clicking 'join' brings out some hidden nazis that wouldn't go out marching on the streets cos they are too afraid, so maybe the existance of these gross groups can at least show us who they are...

I'm also doing a clean-up in my friendlist, after seeing people join groups such as "No moskes (muslim tempels, can't remember the english word) in Copenhagen!", "Free speechers against islam", "Homosexuality is good, but you don't have to rub it in my face" (it was things as small as two men kissing in public), and such shit.

I think these groups stay small because people are afraid of showing their ignorance, not because they are tolerant

Lol, I had a bit of a dark period last week, when I snapped at a bunch of people for joining Facebook groups.
Like that "1,000,000 members, and we get to vote Justin Beiber out of our gender" one.
Looool, you guys! Transphobia, homophobia, queer-bashing, misogyny all in one!
Let's all prevent gender expression, and be hateful pricks who are obviously obsessed with Justin Beiber.

Honestly, I don't like his music either, and also think he looks 12, but FUCK. I don't join groups about it!
You'd think people could actually do something valuable with their time. But no, they make ridiculous groups like this.

I think gender minority discrimination actually bugs me more than homophobia, because it's due to a society-forced ignorance rather than people just being dicks.
Or maybe it's just because I'm genderqueer, and obviously biased.
But I dunno. They're both topics I can relate to (considering I'm also gay) but I still find gender discrimination a lot more hurtful and annoying.
I can think of a lot of reasons why...

EITHER WAY, IT'S ALL PEAS. I DON'T LIKE HATE.
And I don't start Facebook groups to show my dislike for people having rights.
I don't care if they think it's a choice, suggesting taking away RIGHTS is always a sign of an opressive cunt.

    XD Just a little. ;D
I've been trying to replace my swear-word vocabulary, because I realized that I don't find any common obcenities to be actually offensive in their origins. Like cunt.
    It's a slow transition....

Also, my girlfriend really likes the word cunt.
But it's weird saying it in a sexual way, when I'm used to it as a swear word.
So, again, I'm working on phasing it out!

Wow, that last part was so small i couldn't read it without quoting it!
So what you're doing is like what Randal does in Clerks 2 when he's trying to take back the word 'porchmonkey'..? That'll work out well and in just a little while when someone is being called a cunt she/he'll think that the person saying it must really like hem. :p

I read somewhere... I think a comic book that the etymology of the word "cunt" is actually pretty positive and quite beautiful. Its just been warped :ecouteurs:

True as that may very well be, it today has a different meaning. The swedish 'fitta' means something like a small forrest lake originally but today that meaning has changed. Saying that the original meaning of the word is beautiful doesn't make it more pleasant to be called it today.

Oh I know, I'm not trying to decriminalize the word. I'm just sad that it has to be like that...

Well, no, not really. Just trying not to say it unless referring to my girlfriend's vagina.
I'm trying to replace it in my swear-word vocabulary altogether. The key word being "Trying".

I don't know about comic books, but there is a book called Cunt by Inga Muscio (just looked it up). I remember it because i had to take a double take as I scanned over titles. Despite what it might have used to mean, I wouldn't wanna be called it. :/

And back to facebook, its that sort of thing that makes me happy I don't have one. I don't know who's worse, the person who makes that page/group or all the people who look for it and join it. I always want to think that the average person is somewhat compassionate, understanding, and accepting, and then i see that sort of crap *sigh*.
