I myself, being as non-violent as I could be, unless it's in a manner of self defense, would have entirely no problem punching every one of these people in the face then burning their houses and church down.

I would feel no remorse, but i'd also feel slightly hypocritical.

How would you guys react if you saw these people?

Oh, the Westboro Baptist Church. What's left to say about them that hasn't already been said a million times. Really feel sorry the kids though. I believe all religion is just a means of indoctrinating impressionable youth, but they just take it to the extreme. They have absolutely no chance at any type of future.

...And I also feel sorry for the one girl Jael, because she is so cute. Why are all the pretty ones intolerant bigots?

Its amazing none of them have been assassinated yet. (On a side note how can you protest a fucking murder victims funeral? what the fuck does that accomplish?)

That Is True I dont Think Its Right But People Beliefs Are Different Like Whos the Real Evil Frankenstein
the Monster Or The dude who created them? Or The Dude that Kills For Food Or the dude that Keeps The Food to Avoid Killing ... And I Bet Everyone has a Different Opinion On That..I Do Feel Sorry for The Kids Because there only Teaching Them That One Side Of the Story And Not The Other Side. But Again Tho We Think Its Wrong What There Doing But.. They Think Its Right.. Like Saying Whose Right ( Please Excuse this Awkward Example) Porn And Prostitution Are Basicly the Same Thing... Or There Not. Whats Your Take On That? If We Trash On Them For What They Believe In Then How People Believing Anarchy Or The Republican/Democrat/Muslim Any Different?

Excuse me If I didn't Make Much Sense.

I find their philosophy and message to be about as offensive and repulsive as can be, but I have trouble getting really angry. This is pretty much the limit to free speech, the most extreme, like neo-nazi groups. However, like neo-nazi groups, very small, insular, and marginalized. They're sad because they're misled and confused. I watched the whole program and was most fascinated by the psychology of the members. The leader, Phelps seemed to have a very high opinion of himself, commanding people on how they may address him, etc. Also, for all his claims of knowledge and insight virtually all his dialogue was composed of short rants about some individual or institution that will suffer the wrath of god. He didn't offer any wisdom, propose any ideas, or even expound on his beliefs. The daughters were very interesting, you could see there was some serious inner turmoil in them. Teenage girls aren't naturally inclined to that sort of life. I was especially fascinated by the older girl who was going to college. The way she reacted to questions about having romantic feelings, or in the end in the car when she was obviously on the verge of tears. There's definitely a lot going on beneath the surface. I feel the worst for the very small children, who will no doubt grow up to be equally tormented.

    Tormented, Misguided, Unnessecary.

I feel bad for them now, because they are children and will never be able to experience a full childhood, but once they become god-fearing fascist fag-bashing scum of the earth adults, no matter how brainwashed as a child, I will feel no sympathy for their termination, no matter how it happens. Just like Bob Marley simply put, "emancipate yourself from mental slavery, none but ourselves can free our minds." They had every chance growing up to stop and change their beliefs.

You Don't Need To Capitalize Every Word Of Your Sentence, It Is About As Grammatically Wrong As Having No Capitalize In Your Sentence.

It makes it very annoying to read so please try and refrain yourself from doing it if you want to project your view. I know I am being a little bit of a grammar Nazi and I do let a lot of this slide but this is just really damn annoying to read.

As for the video, I couldn't stop thinking about how pathetic this group is. Protesting at soldiers funerals like that is so fucking disrespectful to the family members and the victim. I would definitely confront them if I saw them on the street.

Yeah, I mean as much as I'm against the military and typically don't feel a shred of sympathy for most (American) soldiers who are killed (There's no war without warriors), that is still pretty fucked up in my book, even got Sean Hannity calling her fucked up.

Hmmm but on the other topic about Noam Chomsky weren't you saying that it isn't anarchist to impose a limit to free speech ? ...

These people and their signs always reminds me of crass (every stab of a bayonet is god's word)

I swear they must have empty heads, no concept of what a nazi is, no concept of what adultery is, no thought range outside of we are perfect and you all will burn, it'd be no great loss if a bullet were to pass through a wbc member's skull, as far as im concerned they can say whatever they damn well please, but where they say it has consequences. Some things just don't adhere to common sense like spouting racism in a all black neighborhood (not that they are big on common sense.)

They came here once, and we were going to meet where they were protesting in hopes of puttin' a boot to 'em, but the cops stay nearby and watch everybody.

I'm definitely going to the scheduled counter-protest this weekend, cops or not this means a lot to me, I at least need to see them. They are picketing the temple where 3 of my best friends were mitzvah-ed. It makes my blood boil :@
