My point exactly, I only saw Agnostic Front because it was a big festival that had Slayer the same day (which was rather good), and a lot of other stuff that was not that interesting... But, you make a good point as tough guy hardcore often has a lot in common with boneheads, even here on the other side of the world. I also stay away from skinhead shows and even avoid some venues altogether because they are more or less under Nazi control...

I saw them just a few months ago. All metal, couldn't even trace the post-punk elements in most of their songs. Ofcourse, once in a while he was standing there with an acoustic guitar, but you couldn't hear.

I live in a town full of crap highschool metal bands. Every year, a local screenprinting company puts on a series of battle of the bands shows where there'll be one, maybe two bands worth watching, and a bunch of highschool metal bands. Also, nobody knows the order of the set times, since set times are determined by the number of tickets sold. So, I go to see a punk band, and have to sit through 3 or 4 absolute crap metal bands first.

Now, the worst CROWD I've seen at a show is probably halfway between Dropkick Murphys (my dad likes 'em, so every time they come by S. Ontario, he buys tickets) and Leatherface at the Bovine Sex Club in Toronto.
Both times I've seen the Murphys, the crowd has been about equal parts "I'm-Punker-Than-You" punks, skinheads, frat boys and "born in canada, proud to be irish" knobs.
I saw Leatherface in February in Toronto at the Bovine, a fairly small, intimate club. There were these 3 drunk as shit jocks in their late 30s who'd stand right at the very front of the stage, pumping their fists out of time with the music, and shoving their way through the crowd everytime they "needed" another drink (about every 2 songs or so). Eventually, some people started dancing, so one of them started jumping up and down elbowing people left, right and center.

Municipal Waste- too much money for a band that used to have integrity
Final Conflict (2 yrs ago) - My band played with them and they barely knew the songs, BIG dissappointment
    Insuiciety
The thing is even really good bands have bad show, it just happens. I dont really go to shows outside of underground, independently gone shows so it"s hard to say. Be Nice!!! hahahaha

    Brutal Truth

Saw them when they reunited back in 2008 and god did they suck. Went with my brother cause he's a huge metal fan and told me how awesome it would be but it was horrible. It seemed like they didn't care at all and it showed in their performance. Lifeless is how I would describe it. It didn't surprise me at all when a lot of the crowd left and if I wasn't there with my brother I would have left as well.

I went to a concert like two or so years ago when I was more into metal (didn't have the best taste still dont but I like what I like)

Trivium - I didnt like them still dont but they were playing with some good bands. I didnt headbang I didnt go into the pit I sat down until the next band my low expectations were met with poor music.

    oh and

My Chemical Romance......DON'T GO!!! Especially if they've just put out a new album even if you get dragged there by your friend chew off your arm instead!

thank you for posting the above comment to which i totally agree with.
recently i have witnessed my 11 year old son suffer a tragedy called "my chemical romance".there was a time when he would put an exploited cd or an angelic upstarts cd into the playstation and i remember how he would hum along to the dead kennedys!
now its" my chemical romance"and 30 seconds to mars" i can only asume he has fallen in with the wrong crowd and hope it is just a faze.my chemical romance are playing cardiff soon and i intent to use the comment you left to wind him up so much you could class it as child abuse.

I remember Trivium as rather good - Then again, that band relies on it's great guitarplayers, so maybe it's just more fun if you're a guitar nerd.

My Chemical Romance is simply the most terrible band i've ever seen live. Most people i've known who've been to more than a few concerts agree with me

palme lever, swedish band, don't know if they have ever had a good show. The singer didn't move, at all. And the bass and guitarist kept kicking on each other (the bass player quit after the show btw) And in the midle of the show they all changed instruments, the singer played drums, the drummer played bass i think, the bass player played guitar and the guitarist sing, total chaos, but the guys in the band are awesome people otherwise, and i still go too their shows, just for the fun of it!
    here are their myspace: http://www.myspace.com/hyraxea

    total chaos..
i saw em bout a year ago in orange county with DI. the whole time in between songs it sounded like they were saying a script.. not to mention there music now is on a waay lamer taste than their older shit. plus they dress like avenged sevenfold or one of those sellout bands nowadays. overall a disappointment.
    yea and the vandals
my sis paid for the ticket and it was an xmas special around a year and a half ago, like someone else posted before me. i like the vandals early stuff.. imagine never having sex again.. thats how bad it was. i walked out after a few songs..
    beware of xmas special shows!

leftover crack in columbus. stza got all drunk as shit and shot up before their set. i think they played like 5 songs in 45 minutes. he was just real fucked up and kept raving about crazy bullshit, including:
    -why columbus sucks balls
    -why the venue sucks balls
-why women shouldn't shave their pubic hair
-his friends on the guest list

then he broke the microphone. then i left.
