Meh, if you want to know why I hate the state: look at all wars; look at every kid being beaten up by cops for doing nothing; look at all the large companies that get away with selling you faulty products; look at the food industry that uses food dyes and conservatives that cause cancer, ADHD and border-line syndrome (amongst others); look at the continuation of your boss getting most of what you should be earning; look at your teachers who are by definition right 'cause you're not supposed to question them; look at morons in charge who discriminate with no chance of retaliatory action whatsoever; look at the monopoly of violence by the state; look at the way that minorities and action groups are portrayed by the government to ensure their own survival... I'm gonna quit now 'cause I can go on for hours and hours.

To be fair there are a lot of people that daily ask me why I hate the government so much, you know the whole "if you think it is so bad here go live in Russia" line. The common person doesn't understand that their government and rich ruling class is screwing us over on a daily basis. I think it depends on your roots how well you understand it, like I said i grew up poor, so there was never a doubt that we were getting fucked by a system that doesn't care if we live or die. However if you are from a middle class, or upper middle class family you might not see it. Some people think that the system works fine because there are cops to make sure they don't get robbed or murdered, or because there is a military that keeps the terrorists at bay, etc.... they don't see the lies and half-truths of the government. In that way government works very well, as in it works well to convince the common person that it is necessary and that we need it, and that we can't take care of ourselves.

That is what punk is all about it is about opening your eyes and questioning, about activating your bullshit detector. This kid is beginning to open his eyes and question because he wants to learn more, and you say read a book. Kinda sounds like what they tell kids in school. Give a book title, give a summary of that book, or best yet give your personal experiences. Don't say fuck the cops.... say fuck the cops because I get beaten and harassed for the way I look, and for daring to hold another man's hand while walking down the street, or the fact that cops will beat you if you are black or middle-eastern. Don't say fuck the rich... say fuck the rich because the rich ruling class is getting rich by exploiting workers, who work so hard for so little, so that someone else can make millions. Don't say Fuck the government... say fuck the government because they rage wars based on lies that kill millions of people, and they use threats of terrorists, when in reality all of these terrorists are U.S. trained and funded... and that in reality the U.S. government is the largest terrorists organization in the whole damn world.

This kid is looking for help, and it is our roles as the older members here to educate the younger members who are just learning about anarchism... encourage them, teach them, don't push them away making them feel inferior or less intelligent.

Bakica, this might sound like self-promotion of my music but download my band's albums from on anarcho-punk download section of this site and listen to the words (message me if you want a copy of the lyrics), that might help to give you a start.

Anarchism,Equality,Unity, and Peace - Tear down the walls and we can finally be free!

At 14 i had never even heard the word anarchism, i actually think i started in the "wrong" end (well, for me it was right), first figuring out what i thought and what i believed in, then i started to look for others with the same ideas. Took me forever but here i am.
What i'm trying to say i guess is that even if you don't know everything at 14 (and no one does), you'll figure shit out eventually, especially since you're already searching.

You are either a hypocrite or ignorant, as your avatar has an A which means anarchy, which has LOTS to do with government.

To the OP, can I recommend an essay? Read "Anarchism: What it really stands for" by Emma Goldman. It's not too long, and it's not too dense, it's a great great primer to understanding what exactly the Anarchist movement wants.

For me, it's not necessarily that there's an intrinsic hatred for the government. My hatred comes simply from the corruption. I originally grew up very poor, but we climbed the "class ladder" throughout my childhood. This really showed my the discrimination and the class struggle. More than anything, it really showed me how society and the government really exploits the "bottom" of society.

notice how this is written, why do you put that your 14 twice? usually 14 year olds do not go around putting there age out there. but then again there is a first time for everything. i just think this leads to the suspicion of someone trying to write a shotty book on Anarchy, or the system trying to get in our heads some way.

:lmao: :lmao: In Incredibly simple terms (that i'll probably garble miserably) matter occupies space (and has mass ;) ) and due to this everything that occupies unique space experiances the world from an unalienably unique perspective and nothing else can experiance the world from that perspective because nothing else occupies that same space. Government does it's best to speak, control, and ultimately shape your experiance of the world for you along facile lines with all other forms of imperialism which are not condusive to living within the equally unalienable laws by which the natural world exists... our existence is no more/no less meaningful than anything else that exists, government and other imperialist institutions are centerpiece manifestations of our human arrogance... when has arrogance ever been a good thing?

"No gods no masters" is a famous anarchist slogan since over a century, and the A in your avatar is for Anarchism.

The referrence to "masters" in the "no gods no masters" slogan is a direct referrence to the ruling class, the bosses, and other forms of authority. This is a typical anti-government slogan.

You don't even need to understand what the government had done, just ask yourself WHY WOULD WE NEED A GOVERNMENT ? Why do we need someone to take the decisions when all of the people united could take those decisions themselves ? What the government do that can't be replaced by a federation of workers and other peoples ?

Anarchism can't be explained in a couple of lines. If you don't understand what is the problem with government then you MUST read because you will have A LOT of other questions, government is just the begginning, next you will have to understand what is the problem with capitalism and what is the solution, then it will be about the police, then the army, then the bosses, and then money, etc.....

    Bakica,
I'm not entirely sure how to start my responses, stories, advice, what have you, but I'll give it a shot. If I were you I too would like to read as many people's points of view on this world as possible.
I am now 25 years old. I am a high school dropout. I am of reasonable intelligence, but I'm nothing special. I have a 2 and a half year old daughter. I write/play/enjoy music and enjoy a good drink or thirty from time to time.
I grew up middle class, and it could either be taken as a comfortable lifestyle, or a crutch. I have watched the world around me spinning away under the control of a few extremely wealthy families. It took me some time, but I hate the government a little less than before. I still hate being told what is/isn't right for me, but after sometime, I realized all the world's governments answer to a few very wealthy families. That being said, I have been far from poor most of my life, but I have ended up in some very dark situations where I have been lucky enough to have a father who supports me with a roof over my head, and nothing more. He and I seldom speak because he has been a void, and soulless individual ever since my mother passed when I was 16. When I was a child he never held me, and didn't speak to me much, he was too busy drinking with friends, granted he was "there" but that's always been about it. He works very hard, 6 days a week. He is now 64 and has a laundry list of different pulmonary and cardiovascular problems. He works at EXIDE and is required to wear a mask to protect himself from lead oxide in the air. He is so afraid of losing his job that he sneaks off to catch his breath so that noone notices his decaying health. He is empty. The struggle to stay financially stable has completely consumed him and there is hardly anything left. He IS a good man, but is almost dead inside.
I was diagnosed with hypertension (high blood pressure) at the age of 18 and have been medicated for it ever since. I do not have any health insurance and found a local doctors office that is "christian based", with the support of local churches and the volunteering of several doctors and nurses. It was a great thing that they were doing but I missed too many appointments and was rejected as a patient. I now have to go to the washington county health department for my prescriptions as it is the only health department in the region that offers primary care. This of course, is my fault. However, it is not my fault that I cannot afford health insurance or that it is not available to me. I work at Arby's, a fast food chain that offers shitty roast beef sandwiches for excessively high prices. They offer a low level insurance plan, however, it does not cover any preexisting health conditions. Of course, as with most people, my need for health care is based on a "pre existing health condition.
There is no fucking reason why it should be made so easy to consume the dangerous products in our food, air, and water that makes us so sick. There is DEFINATELY no fucking reason why we shouldn't be viewed as patients instead of "customers". Our lives have forever been altered and ruined by the existence of genetically modified crops, money, and large scale vicious, bloody, world wide conflicts that claim, oh so many lives every year. The united states were not founded on peace, or freedom. Rather, the systematic murder of millions of natives. Was that not a holocaust? Unfortunately, not as a well known one. FOR SOME REASON.
As if money wasn't already dangerous enough, they decided to abolish the gold standard, so that the value of money is no longer based on something that you can hold in your hand, but based on how much money is in circulation. Hence, they control it's value. That's awfully handy for the world bank isn't it?

Long story short, there are people around me dying, forrests being destroyed, animals systematically being slaughtered to feed our vicious, selfish appetites, children being killed and raped, women being killed and or forcibly impregnated, plants being genetically altered to be more cost effective...and a very, very long list of atrocites all mostly over three things.

    Money.
    Imaginary lines.
    and Beliefs.

    Fuck. That.
