I read Slaughterhouse-5 by Kurt Vonnegut and I absolutely loved it. Kurt discribes the book (In the book) as anti-glacier satire, because writing an anti-war book is like writing an anti-glacier book. ..They're both unstoppable. Overall, the book was hilarious and very, very sad at the same time. Definately a must-read. I also really loved the Lord of the Flies, and the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy still stands as my all-time favorite. Currently I'm reading George Orwell's 1984, and it's looking promising so far. (Also Badman, I read Catcher in the Rye and I fucking hated it!)

I'm in the middle of Off The Map published by Crimethinc - it's a fun read.

 

I am currently reading "Ya basta" writings of sub commadante marcos from the EZLN. "Anarcho Syndicalism theory and practice" a copy of "The squatters handbook" "No logo" by Naomi Klein and hope to soon move onto "The coming insurrection."

I don't know if I's put it in my top 10, or anything, but I'm presently engrossed in Ray Kurzweil's "The Singularity is Near." Fascinating book for anyone who's interested in emergent technologies and the future of the human race.

 

At the moment I reading "Red London" by Stewart Home. In this book so much perverted sex, damn it. But some moments are very pleased, especially the main hero, Adolf, when he unexpectedly comes home in the bourgeois and shoot them brains, he-he-he...

 

Im reading Romeo and Juliet at moment but I also wanted do ask can anyone recommend me some good book which talks about politics (anarchy) or some really good book..i got a really big apetite for reading books lol

 

Just finished Incendiary by Chris Cleave, about a terror attack on London and the consequences both political and for a woman that lost her husband and son. Not bad at all, considering it was a gift, and it was on sale.

Other than that I'm very fond of John King and Bret Easton Ellis.

 

Hey, guys. Your could not be any recommend good anarcho-artistic books? If there are books on anarcho-punk, then I'll be very happy .

If you wanna read a FANTASTIC science fiction novel, read Joan Vinge's (Vernor's ex-wife.) "Catspaw." "Psion" gets all the press, and it's good, but the sequal cranked it to 11. I've read it a dozen times at least. The third act, "Dreamfall" is a little anemic, but worth a look. I would also strongly recommend Asimov's "I, Robot", Gibson's "Neuromancer", and Robert Heinlen's "Starship Troopers", and "Stranger in a Strange Land."

I'm currently reading "Against The Megamachine: Essays On Empire & Its Enemies" by David Watson. It's a really nice collection of anarcho-primitivist essays and a good companion book to "Against His-Story, Against Leviathan" by Fredy Perlman, which I'd read previously.

I got both of them back in 2001 at an anarchist bookstore on Haight St. in San Francisco. I believe the place was called Bound Together. Anyone know if it's still there? Took me long enough to get around to reading them, but better late than never.

I've just finished The Football Factory by John King, a very good read. Other than that I'm a big fan of Bret Easton Ellis.

Right now i'm re-reading "A People's History of the United States". I had read it when i was about sixteen and i figure i'll get more out of it now. I want to read "Granny Made Me and Anarchist" next.

 

I've got a couple books I've been meaning to get through for months. Working Through Making A Killing by Bob Torres, next is The Black Book of Canadian Foreign Policy by Yves Engler, and the book of Food, Inc., all while working through bits of the H.P. Lovecraft Necronomicon.
