my background is in mods it helped me be a lot less mainstream and get out of my stupid being with everyone else phase and so i like and i want to stay mod but yet evermore i am being turned on to anarchist ideas. so i am in a situation because i want to stay mod but yet i also want to be punk. :ecouteurs:

Why should u be worried about what other people think? Thats not what being anarcho is about. it's about thinking for yourself and doing what YOU want. Mix whatever styles you want, whatever you like to do is right for you, if other people dont like it, fuck them.

Here in San Diego there is a long tradition of mods and punks mixing and uniting...for years there were gangs of punks on Vespas, and mods that sported Battalion of Saints logos on their Vespas and all that mods vs rockers bullshit is from England way back in the day, I personally associate with all the music that mods love although I am an Anarcho Punk so who cares about constraints....

I don't care about all the labels, here in small town Iowa where I grew up, none of the labels mattered, punk is punk, if you like it listen to it, if you like the clothes wear them, it is good to know it's roots, but you shouldn't mold yourself in the image that you are told or think that you should look or act. In the words of Shakespeare "To Thine Own Self Be True"

Oh, oh here it comes. We're on now XD

As for mixing... hell I've been a metalhead (including hair), a goth, a geek, a skater, an alt, a punk (including mohawk) and now I just don't give a fuck, I have hair that's an inch long that gets streamlined on the sides and spiked up top and in the back, my leather jacket is well-worn and has a fucking drainage-filter stamped into the back and most of my trousers and shirts are busted, while my combat boots are 1 year old, going on 10.
And STILL I identify most with the skinhead/oi movement, from what I've read.... lol

And in my opinion Punk is not about How Cool and trendy your Mowhawk looks .. Or kids dying for attention that mommy and Dad never give so they rebel and wear black eyeliner one week, than cut themselves the following week , than grow a mohawk and presto Im a Punk!! BULLSHIT!!! Punk is an Attitude and for me a way of life since 1982 !!!
Yeah Im old but I know what Punk Rock is !! And what its Not !!!

Yeah maybe I shouldnt have posted the Test Tube baby line .. They were just another crappy band tryin to cash in on shock value.. When i heard Mods that song popped in my head.. Bottom line is Punk, Mod, Skin, Crust, Its all just a Label .. As far as what fassions a person should wear that never really made sense to me.. BE YOURSELF !!!
