PETA kills animals?

peta is for rich famous fucks so they can pretend they actually care about something and not look as superficial as we all know they are.

 

Dude, Pamela Anderson is the most highly profound, altruistic and caring human being in all of this shitty world and serves as a role model to us all. She save the cyclops snake indigenous to Tommy Lee's pants from imminent extinction AND recorded it. She is my hero.

 

That website is run by the Center for Consumer Freedom. They take out full page ads in the New York Times that say high fructose corn syrup is good for you.

There's a lot to dislike about PETA, but the CCF is completely untrustworthy.

well...i think its wrong but in other hand..what should they do with those animals? they are hurting people and animals-on-farm and they dont have their home. PETA (or whatever) should either find a home for them or send them to jungles or something . but they must build homes first..and for that they need money which they dont have - becouse government spends money on bullshite like millitary and stuff and they dont give a damn about those pure animals. so..can people save those animals? ?

fuck PETA, now that thats out of the way, i thought their whole mcdonalds prank by handing out those dead chicken meals was cool.

 

There's a cat-shelter i've heard of firsthand, that doesn't kill cats. So instead they get a lot of cats stuffed in their cages and some has to live there for years. They had gotten one cat there that was sick and contageous, and soon lots of cats were sick and the vet that came there that had told them that they should put the sick cat down cos they couldn't treat it, now had to put a lot of cats down instead. This i find is even worse.
Of cos the optimal thing is if all the animals could get good homes, but i'd personaly rather say it's sometimes better to put them down then to keep them locked up in cages for years.

But yeah, PETA has a fuckin meat freezer too. I used to be a huge peta supporter, passed out leaflets at shows and everything until I found out about how the euthanize animals and bought a 10,000 dollar meat freezer. I mean, I guess I could understand if they rescued animals from testing facilities, and these animals were too fucked up to live and maybe it was better if they were put to sleep, but no, they're like pretty much a kill shelter. It sucks. Fuck PETA.

PETA has shitloads of money. Do you think those celebrities just do those interviews and model for them for free? Lol. And PETA doesn't really have much to do with the government either. They're just an organization.

 

PETA is a mainstream liberal group, they are not a true activist group. In my opinion, it has it's uses, but we can't rely or count on a group like that for real change, real change will come from groups like the A.L.F.

I have mixed opinions on PETA killing animals, I have read a lot about it, and though it does make them hypocrites to a degree, some of the deaths are necessary for one reason or another... but over all I don't trust PETA and I also don't trust those who go to great lengths to put down PETA.

To me PETA is like the democratic party, they sound good and all, but dig beneath the surface and guess what just the same old shit nothing new... so I support them introducing people to animal rights, but I encourage those people to dig deeper and get into real activism, like ALF.

I believe PETA is more like a company than A/R organisation.
Anyway they are an apolitical organisation so i dont even care about what's peta doing. I dont need to be sure if peta kills animals or not, it's a lot more thing that go against my beliefs.

 

my freidn made me watch some peta video and the person was doing an interveiw and he was saying how for a photo shoot of a skinned animal..i forget what it was..that they bought it already dead. then skinned it for the photo shoot.....

 

I couldn't care less if it's true or not. Hypocrisy is the least of what's wrong with PETA.

 

PETA also has ads in which they do the whole objectify women as sex objects thing, ya know, dress em up in really skanky underwear that looks like animal skin and stuff.

alf members stole a mykak that was blinded due to being vivisected on, and dropped it off at a peta facility correct? sorry i might be wrong, they did something like that.
PETA members can act as a conduit to other banners that deal with illegal activity, it's a win-win right?
that PETA facility is not much more than a slightly enhanced humane society shelter... instead of a 99% mortality rate, it's more like 95%. wow.
also, the reason for this is because of the "harsh reality of animal rescue", which most people don't even fucking think about... because it would be better if instead of taking the animals in they would simply treat them and set them free somewhere where they could survive, considering that the only other alternative is death or abandonment in some cases, since the people who operate it can't be expected to work like fucking santa clause.

also i read it's not realistic to say there are any *real* "no kill" shelters that operate with that capacity/"demand"

 

i decided to dig this gem of a thread up. so tell me, why all of you despise peta so much? can you even name anything in specific other than merely attempting to look tough?
yes peta does kill animals however, so does the humane society, peta funds the humane society but without it, there would only be the fucking pound or on the streets.
so tell me how adopting out of small percentage of these animals is not a good thing but rather detrimental, whereas peta kills animals dot org does not provide any sort of realistic suggestion for peta's actions, because unlike what most of you prbably think, the animals rescue world is far far from perfect and it has nothing to do with the character of the workers or how much compassion they have.
i hate peta because of how they portray animal rights to the world, the ignorant masses so to speak.
