Why do Anarchists hate cops?

well..some do some dont
cops (most of them) do what they are told to do. they dont think is it good or bad.
then i other hand they serve government as defence from riot and for some actions.
cops are dickheads but yeah there are some cops who dont like their job but they are doing it just fine.well i think cops and millitary are the same shit ya know. but ok. and yeah, i almost forgot, police brutality thats reality!!

 

wtf, don't hate people, hate the organisation, anarchy, cops weren't set up the way they became, so we are capable of having common law without defending corporations who r seen absurdly as individiual entitys like u or I in the law.

u have seen micheal moore eh? or no logo.....make the connection, some have more personal reasons but yes many don't think about it which is why i say we need a diff way of doin tings as for 50 years its been brick wall after brick wall, if ya can't knock it down with 50 people or eating lentils while bemoaning how shit thngs are and not worth doing anything/its called 'work' or getting ya jollys throwing lollies, then maybe ya should think again or not anarchist in its original form which was and is effective and able to change to suit with a basis that leaves it almost uncoruptible(and yes dum humans will always try to fuck things over but they are the few not the many) do the math, go back to park bench please(i'm also talking in metaphors, not a personal attack, you're alrite/slang.

I dont get the point..you said "hate anarchy" ? why ? as I said they dont think with they head and they do what is told them. they dont mind doing it.

 

bakica, naa, i mean, anarchism doesn't hate people/cops, it hates the organisation and some have personal grievances due to systematic bias

i was talking about a similer topic witha buddy of mine and i pretty much came up with this mentality..

on the hole i dont liek them...but i do see that there are times that its pretty decent to have a few of them around. liek the other day a person died at a parade for st patricks day here in montreal and the cops had to close off the road and my freind was gettign all pissed sayign they(cops) were abusing their power by closing the road down. i said he was a drunken idiot and that its fine for a cop to do these thigns for the saftey of people. there is nothign good coming from the remains of a person crushed head oin the middle of st cathrins street.. i have no problem with a cop if they are doign their job and not abusing the power they get. as long as they are doign things that are in teh best intrest of the general public and not doing it for profit (money or hard ons) then i dont see much of a problem.

ok cops things to me
escorting emergancy vehicles
traffic crontrol (directing cars)
securtiy. as long as they keep a right mind and not get power horny
arresting molesters killers and that crowd of hooligins
closing roads beacuse of road problems or crushed heads or thigns along those lines
anythign supporting social protection and not socaial control really.
getting my dads stolen car back

but i dont count my self as an anarchist as you guys see it but i still count...right?

 

Actually the modern police force (in the US at least) came out the slave patrols and strikebreakers. The first state police were created in Pennsylvania with the sole purpose of breaking mine worker's strikes that were taking the area by storm. The the police have always been an institution with the purpose of controlling populations that have the potential to revolt. The pigs are a means of social control! That is why anarchists hate them along with all other methods of social control.

Yea, i hate cops, ive always hated them, even before i got into anarchism and punk. Fuck them all, i dont care if there are good cops, the only good one to me is a DEAD one. If and when a revolution comes, the cops that do not fight against us, or quit the "force" are ok, but only to a certain extent. FUCK THE COPS

 

I don't hate them as people, in fact my neighbour is one and he's a cool guy, I hate however that they are an extension of the force of an institution I despise.

you are right about cops doing what they are told but they definately know right from wrong my friend they just like total dicks and judge kids by how they look cops at my school are nice to the preppy kids but treat me and my "punk/anarchist" friends and anyone who associates thems selves with me and my friends like shit

 

my father is a retired LAPD cop, and my brother-in-law is a CAlifornia Highway Patrolman... ANd I fucking hate cops (but i love those 2 as people, but if something was to happen to them in the line of duty, i would find it hard to be sad...)

 

As said by others above, I hate that they are a symbol of authority and government force, but hating them as people is based on the individual. There just maybe a few who do it because it's' a stable job and they have a family to feed, but they are ones how are complete assholes who abuse the power they are given. I hate the cops who use brutality and other unjust and unfair practices.
The "just following orders/doing their jobs" is a poor excuse and thats where my overall distain of them for what they are comes in. They went into a line of work that has someone think for you and doesn't allow to have your say in what is right and wrong but are given a lot of power over your peers.

 

which is worse? policemen or soldiers? both basically follow that guide line, both make their living forcing others in what to do, both carry fire arms, both can be violent thugs.

 

They all bastards, if not they'd leave and get another job.

 

Something's gotta be wrong in the first place with those who wants to be cops.
