i like drinking at shows but it is important to keep your cool. no one likes being around people who are so drunk they become a danger to the scene. when someone falls in the pit you pick them up. basic courtesy is very important. with out it there are fights between people who are supposed to be on the same side.

fuck that shit , punk isn't supposed to be safe
that A-political (the band) anti-mosh bullshit is fucking annoying

yeah lets all stand there like peaceful rational human beings
pfft you only live once have some fucking fun

if you don't wanna get hit either stand in the back
or watch the fuck out, it's just what happens at punk shows

Ugh, an uber punx. "Have some fucking fun"? Standing still isn't the only alternative to failing your limbs recklessly at strangers, believe it or not, although it's fine. Also, you don't know shit about me, friend. Keep that in mind, k?

The punk scene pisses me off sometimes. I think it pisses off most anyone who isn't an uber punk every now and then. =/

Basically, I want moshers to put effort into keepin' the moshing in the pit. Show those who aren't moshing a bit of consideration. I really don't like to see people kicked in the face.

Agreed on that, if people wanted to mosh, they'd be in there in the first place...

    way to be a hypocrite

anyways, like i said before: stand where there is no mosh or watch out
its not the dancers job to make sure everyone is nice and comfy
and i've never seen anyone get kicked in the face in a mosh, maybe crowd surfing
but i don't go to those lame new age hardcore shows where the mosh is five guys doing karate

way to be arrogant, so i guess no one has a right to be safe at a punk show then, because calling out idiots who try to hurt people avoiding the pit isn't punk rock?

who said anything about TRYING to hurt people
sorry, but i guess i just havent been to many shows that are full of assholes
I always thought it was a mutual understanding that the people between the pit and the crowd were the buffer
it just seem like lucid strike is saying all moshers are assholes out to ruin peoples nights
its usually an accident if someone gets knocked over into someone else

where is the autonomy in failing to respect others boundaries? go crazy with the people who want to go crazy but be careful not to bother others. does that not sound pfr enough? hmm try chaos punk then. a lot of people like to dance peacefully and there is nothing wrong with that. it does kinda suck when EVERYONE just stands there though.....twist anyone?

danger is the spice of life
no one can expect to walk into a punk show, stand by a mosh pit and not get pushed or shoved
it's kinda hard to look out for everyone when your moving to fast to look out for yourself

I guess it depends on when ya catch me. I'm normally stoned and drunk before a show. When this occurs I'm normally the one starting a circle pit on parts of songs that I enjoy a bunch, that chorus will fade, the people will start hitting each other a lot harder than before, and I just fight to the front and put one leg on the stage and enjoy the best seat in the house for a while. I perfer house shows where there isn't a fucking stage and you can just get all nasty smelly and sweating and have a good god damned time.\

If I'm sober, I'm standing there with my arms crossed wondering if I'm a dick for hating the band and the people hitting me in the chest. hahaha

i've been to chaos punk shows, they're no different than other punk shows i've been to
just because you get extra anarcho points for hating bands you think are "idiotic"
    doesn't mean its bad music.

ok surgerydisaster, fair enough, i misunderstood what you were saying, i think it is messed up to try and hurt someone who is not near or avoiding the pit, and i think it is important to make sure you are aware of people who dont want to be a part of it. That being said, you are right, if someone chosoes to be near it, they should be aware of the possible dangers of doing so.

I lost a piece of my tongue trying to dodge a motherfucker like that... slammed my mouth shut on my mate's shoulder and then wondered why my mouth was full of liquid.

Tonight I came out of a gig with my usual issues of sore neck and legs but this time I had a 10cm cut on my forearm...fucking shoulder spikes...

TAKE YOUR FUCKING SPIKY STUDDED JACKETS OFF WHEN YOU GET INTO THE PIT FOR FUCK'S SAKE!

I figured ooh something feels nice and warm I must be bleeding, I looked at my arm and the ribbon of skin that had been scrapped off and I promptly ate it....seemed like a good idea at the time...licked the blood up off my arm, went to the bar to get bandaids and vodka to go on the cut.
