Disclose are gods!!!! RIP Kawakami, too young.

If you like Discharge I'd recommend:

    Varukers (Great Band!!)
    Disgust
    Decontrol
    Disfear
    Wolfbrigade/Wolfpack
    Coward
    Gasmask
    S.D.S

The last few are streeching it, more noise and crust, but still.

Funny, last time I saw them live (they played right before Leftöver Crack, don't judge me) they spouted the standard unity between street punks and crusties.

The Casualties are bunk as fuck. Everyone in my town (the punks) looooved them. It's actually why I started a pop punk band (i.e. Screeching weasel) in highschool - to counter all the fashion punk bullshit.

The capitalis casualties however are incredible! I love fucking powerviolence.

honestly I can still listen to the casualties and enjoy most of their older stuff, but thats about as much respect as I can dish out. It can't be argued that their music in it's purest form was pretty entertaining. Anything further than that, I don't think deserves praise.

I think that the most punk thing the casualties ever did was claiming that they just played punk for the money.
I tell you - that made people react! If it's true or not, or they just like shaking up the punk scene i don't know, but they've always advocated against political correctness in the punk scene.

It's not one of those bands that i listen to a lot, but i'm looking forward to the concert on friday with them. I'm pretty sure they must be great live.

Casualties - not that great, but could be worse I suppose.

Capitalist Casualties - The split with MITB is really awesome, their other stuff is good as well.

They suck live. now to fill their time, instead of playing something fast or old, they waste time looking for the most "punk" looking tool bag at the venue to play a song with them. Ive met both Jake and Rick, and they were both nice guys, i also know some people that are family to the band. But when you play "Punk" to live in Manhattan pent houses. then fuck you....

    CAPITALIST CASUALTIES OWN!!!

I'm not trying to argue with anyone. i just wanna give sum opposition to this thread of casualties shit talking. considering everyone seems to be willing to admit for the most part that The Casualties were one a the first real punk bands they got into. it's funny now you call um big, call um sellouts. but that size is what exposed most of us to them in the first place. and that size is what enables them to fuel kids today to putdown there sum 41 records and look up something a little harder to find. Also like um or not, these guys have been punx for a LONG time. and just on that I think we all owe them respect. (its pretty ballsy to call a bunch a guys who have been into punk for over 20 years posers. like yer parents shoulda told you. respect yer enders) if you dont like there band or there music, then say that. but quit taking time outta yer day to attack them personally. Poser???!! do you call a black guy you dont know a nigger?! NO! then dont call a punk you dont know a poser.

I wouldnt think of the casualties as egomaniacs havent seen or listened to them very much in years but from what i remembered there shows involved 20 + punks onstage arm in arm singing along the band out in the crowd the drummer playing the day after getting out of the hospital chilling wit the band and just lots of fun even if they are spikey hair fashion punks

To me they're both equally kick-ass. The Casualties was a gate way for me to listen to more street-punk bands and The Capitalist Casualties was a gate way aswell to listen to more crust/power violence bands.
