It's AWESOME. The graphics are beautiful, the AI is intense and sophisticated, a great game. My only real gripe is that some parts are so fucking hard and intense (Depending on difficulty level.) I thought I was going to actually develop PTSD. It also fundamentally alters the classic shooter formula of clearing rooms and moving on. In a lot of levels you HAVE to keep running.
I generally avoid war sims based in modern times because they are often so infused with this extreme nationalism, it's essentially propaganda. MW2 is unique in that it presents the US govt. in a less than pristine light. Like Dulles said; there aren't many saints in espionage. MW2 depicts international conflicts in various shades of gray. That said some of the plot is a little ridiculous at times, and the ending could've been a little better, but all things considered, it fucking kicks ass.

THAT was a good game, love playing as roland, a agree though the ending sucked but im hoping the expansions will have a little more to offer for the storyline (hoping for some character background.)

Any Fallout fans? That's my favorite game series.

Right now I'm playing through Fallout 3, but I'm getting my ass kicked. I refuse to trade my awesome looking Mad Max armour for that stupid brotherhood of steel stuff, so I die really easily. I'm also using a bunch of mods that make the game tougher, and more like the first two.

I never played the earlier titles, but I was OBSESSED with Fallout 3. I beat the game and all of the expansion packs. I can't wait for the New Vegas, it should be coming out around next christmas. However, thankfully, Halo:Reach, and Final Fantasy 13 are coming out much sooner.

Before getting an XBox 360 from my friends for my birthday, the latest games I had played before that were Tomb Raider 3 and Worms Armageddon. Now, I have the Xbox, with only GTA4.

I hate the idea of war games like Call of Duty and such, first person shooters never did it for me.

But sometimes, in a games like GTA4, you just have to take a stand and shoot down and burn several dozen cops ina mindless spree. Anything more fun than snipering a police helicopter pilot and watching it spiral onto a troop of police men below?

The closest thing I can think of to a punk game are the classic beat em up's from the 90's, where you constantly beat the shit out of guys with mohawks:

if you scroll back throug hthe early pages if this thread there is some discussion about anarcho themed games... again i mention Stae of Emergency for ps2, xbox and pc, the whole game takes place during a riot, is very violent and is also a lot of fun (i custom made a soundtrack of songs about riots on my xbox and it makes it even more fun to play  )

I'm currently playing bayonetta. It's pretty sweet if your into that style of game (which I am) and I'm sure all you "rebels" would enjoy the constant angel slaughtering.
