AFI-I liked them in high school. Pretty indifferent on them these days,they do put on an incredibly energetic live show though.

Murphys-Once again,amazing live show. And released some great albums musically.I do get tired of the whole proud to be American crap though.

Flogging Molly-Haven't heard enough to judge.

Alkaline Trio-Don't mind the albums from "Good Mourning" onwards (before that it was terrible). Decent band but nothing i would consider amazing.

The Damned-Were always my favorite English 77 band. The 2 latest albums aren't that great,But the stuff up to 86 was good. The black album and machine gun etiquette are both killer records.

 

If you like Drpkick Murphys and Flogging molly I bet you'll like the Potato Pirates. They're locals

 

AFI - sucks, even when they playe dpunk they sucked, they were on nitro records, owned by dexter of offspring and home to crap acts like guttermouth/

Dropkick Molly - these bands are nothing but second rate pogues wannabe's and are not even close to as good them.

Alk Trio - never heard, no desire to hear them

The Damned - some essential early punk (especially damned damned damned and music for pleasure) but they went goth and got progressively worse as they wore on.

I had a friend who loved them, but they were a bit too poppy for me.

Pretty good, although I agree with t-bag, their older stuff was better.

I listened to a lot of DKM last year, their music's good fun, heaps of energy. Haven't listened to any of the other bands.

AFI - When I first got into punk, these guys were great to skate to (this is was the late 90's), I will always like some of their older stuff... but then they went emo-metal and commercialized and just sucked.
Dropkick Murphys- I love Irish punk, and I think these guys make some great music... sure they aren't the Pogues like someone mentioned... but they never meant to be, they are an Irish Oi band (from Boston MA). I don't agree with all of their views, but still love their music.
Flogging Molly- Great band, nice people, and good music.
Alkaline Trio- I heard one of their songs back in the late 90's and thought it was okay... but then they jumped on the emo-bandwagon and I have had no intrest in them... though I heard Matt Skiba's acoustic stuff is pretty good.
The Damned- Awesome people, if you ever get a chance to meet them do it, they also put on a great show. These guys will always be one of my favorite bands, I love everything they have done, both their punk and their Goth stuff. I think my favorite songs of theirs is either Generals or Torture Me.

I got VERY PROUD OF YA when it first came out, I liked it then. Didn't stand the test of time though. haven't heard AFI in years. Never liked any of the other bands except Alkaline Trio, who I've never heard. i guess I like that Jet Boy, Jet Girl song. but that's not even a Damned original is it...

Flogging Molly is okay but not really my thing.
Don't like Dropkick Murphy or the crowd they draw.
Alkaline Trio - Emo. Haha. Don't listen to them.
The Damned - Don't like their new stuff but their old stuff is classic.
