Yeah, "Fuck A Mod" is a fun little song. But the rest of their stuff just annoys me.

i used to be able to enjoy early metallica albums once in a while (mainy kill em all and masters of puppets) then Lars opened his big mouth about napster, and file sharing, now metallica sounds about as good as a milli vanilli record to my ears...

I liked Metallica in the Dave Mustaine-era, post-Mustaine they turned into Metallicrap imo.
Then again that's the first time I've heard Metallica-ca btw :p

Metallica should have called it quits after the 'Black Album" everything since then was crap. I mean Kill em All, Ride The Lightning, Master Of Puppets, And Justice For All were all great albums. But I totally agree with how after the whole napster thing Metallica feels like a joke... hard to believe that Lars was heavily influenced by a lot of punk bands.

I agree... I tried to hold on but after 2 more albums of going downhill I gave up on them. Cliff was amazing, one of the best bass players ever.

Fuck man, you are one astute motherfucker, got a chance to meet Cliff and even smoked a couple bowls with him when they were still really humble guys, he was the soul of that band. They quickly lapsed into being a joke....

anyone ever notice the guitar riff of Until It Sleeps is almost identical to the keyboard riff from Salt N Peppa's Push it? i only noticed cause that song was all over the radio when Load came out... Talk about flogging a dead horse, Load and reload have to be some of the most god awful crap any band has ever released...

I can't believe I forgot about psychobilly. Probably even more cliched than street punk.

No the Cramps are cool... I liked rockabilly like the Stray Cats, it is just the new wave of psychobilly a few years back that just totally sucked.

Why you guys gotta be hateing on the the Crimson Ghost? (jk) It is a cool logo, but it is one of the most commercialized logos of all time, I get so sick of seeing kids wearing Misfits shirts who have never even heard the band, same thing with Ramones shirts. Maybe that is what I hate the most about Hot Topic, it is selling people band merch of bands they know nothing about... It used to be if you saw someone with a "punk" band on their shirt you could talk to them knowing that they have a common interest, not so much anymore. :(

I love misfits and i wear a big back-patch with them - People seriously ask me all the time if it's a band or a clothing branch! (i made the patch myself, so what do you think kid?)

Non the less, i love the Misfits, but they are very commercial, and their merchandise has been misused

I must confess I still love the Cats....guilty pleasures, just that Brian Setzer big Box Gretsch sound is still dynomite daddy-o...and as far as kids wearing t-shirts they know nothing about, I was tricked into marriage by my kids mom, when I first ever saw her she was wearing a yellow Cramps T-shirt, shorts, monkey boots and she had long curly hair. She was heartbreakingly cute at 17, but it turned out the hair was a perm, and the shirt belonged to her brother and I spent a whole lifetime educating her on Punk....Diabolical!

    :D

I still think that the best bassist ever was Roger Paterson from Athiest.

That dude annihilated Cliff on every single level, died the same way as cliff too, just in a van accident not a tour bus.

Listen to Piece of mind and the Unquestionable presence demo from Athiest and youll see what Im talking about.

Thats all the scene around here is, and not for nothing, I cant stand these people because the 1950s are EVERYTHING wrong with america.

Look at the world before the 50s, then look at the world after the 50s and youll see what I mean.

Yes, there was a lot of racism and ignorance in the 50's, but don't believe it was the decade of disaster. (and i for one like the 50's style, chicks were hot then. and it was ok to call ladies chicks, dolls, etc without being labeled sexist :p) If anything the 60's were a far more destructive and turbulent decade.
