    Lixomania Biography

    Lixomania is a punk rock band formed in 1979 in São Paulo, Brazil.
    Split up in 1983, some members went on to play in [a=365 (2)].
    They reformed in 2002.

    Band members: Mauro Bento De Oliveira, Rogerio Martins (2), Mendes (10), Fernando Aragaki
    Band ex-members: , Tikinho, Adauto De Andrade, Valdomiro Santino De Melo

    Lixomania were one the first punk bands in Brazil, and also released one of the first punk records. They appear on the O Começo do Fim do Mundo compilation LP with a very badly recorded song - it was recorded on a walkman! Lixomania only released one record, than later changed their name to 365 and became a new wave band. 365 still exists today.

    Yeah, the name Lixomania may be a bit misleading, since it's not portuguese. I *think* it's a deviation (word play) on the Esperanto word kixomania. But don't quote me on that :p
