This works a little better when I'm a moderator, but still not correct. Now I actually get to select a file for upload. The problem is that when it is done uploading nothing happens. It's like I never did anything at all, which I did because I checked my bandwidth usage. So... I don't know what this is all about, but something isn't right.

Thanks for letting us know. We had some issues due to a recent server change and DB migration.

We spent the last few days working on this so maybe that's why it appeared to work better when you're moderator. The form was fixed today but the upload was still not working. Now our work is done and everything seems to be working again.

Wonderful, I'll get to it then! I fortunately saved all my uploads in case Zippyshare dropped the ball and now that it has I can go ahead and upload everything this way instead for a more permanent solution. Thanks for the work done and letting me know! :)

Edit: Sorry, but it's still not working. :( It worked "more" than before, I got to this part:
but it stayed like that indefinitely. After a while I aborted and tried again and now it's back to the way it was yesterday, with the Upload-button doing seemingly nothing. I tried a few different browsers to make sure it wasn't just my choice in browser.

Everything should be up and running again! Let me know if there is any problem remaining and thanks for your support!

The loading animation however is gone, wasn't able to fix it, but it's a minor issue

Great! I've started to re-upload my stuff now and it works just fine! The PUNKDL-tag doesn't seem to generate anything on my end though, it's just an empty box. For the time being I've resorted to repeat the link outside the tag.

Oops, there was another bug with the download link. Thanks again for reporting it. This is a very complex and custom-made system so it's a lot of trouble to set up, but once it's up and running we're good for years!

The PUNKDL tag was fixed and now it works, tested it with one of your upload:

      DOWNLOAD FULL ALBUM

Online This file is hosted on our own dedicated server. Fast download, no ads, no bullshit!

I know all too well what it means to hunt for bugs in a custom environment, especially if that environment has been built upon for a longer time with more and more custom things. *laughs and sweats at the same time* Nice job!

I hope I'm not making a mess internally now by deleting my old (dead) threads and replacing them with new proper ones, once I've replaced them all it's back to normal. :)

Oh, and also, there seems to be a size limit, is that right? I get this error message:
when trying to upload an album that's 167MB in size.

haha this is exactly what is happening. This is a very old custom-made system (so old it can't even be upgraded to recent PHP versions) and many different person worked on it so it's a mess!

do you have a background in IT and server stuff?

No don't worry, I don't see any issues

Damn I was sure I had already fixed this one but there are multiple overlapping configs on the server

It looks like there is a bug in Plesk preventing me from modifying the limit:
Cannot set up client_max_body_size for nginx in Plesk: [emerg] "client_max_body_size" directive is duplicate
I will ask help from a colleague of the tech team

Not officially. The last school program I went to was centered around IT but on the UI/UX side of things, more design and less code. But I did have some assignments like "build a rudimentary forum using PHP/SQL/HTML/JavaScript" so I picked up a few things that was transferable. I ended up helping friends with similar tasks and one of them ran a forum and publishing platform based on Drupal and that's about as close as I got to things like that. But never official and never really in depth.

I think I finally found the solution with the uploading... Tested with a big file and it works! Takes a while to upload and it's confusing because nothing is displayed during that time (no loading animation)

Nice to see that you have some experience with this kind of stuff! This is something very rare in the punk scene, we are ones of the few haha

Nice, I'll upload the last albums when I get home (going up the country for the weekend)!

I agree, it is actually pretty rare to hear about in the scene now that I think about it. No wonder I always get requests from friends, since I'm one of those "who understand computer stuff", haha! Well, as long as there's a few of us we'll be fine. ;)

Some members on Pirate-Punk reported they are still having issues with the upload forum (the post content is not automatically inserted in the form). I am not able to reproduce my issue on my end, but we did an update in case someone faces this bug.

    upload_2022-6-25_0-6-14.png

The download link now appears after uploading so you can copy it manually, or even better, click the "copy manually" button and it will open a page in a new tab where you can find the post content that usually would have been copied automatically.
