Questions regarding uploading music

    I recently uploaded three albums and followed the instructions provided, I have a few questions:

    1. Putting the download URL inside DL-tags resulted in plain text in two of the uploads, only one actually turned into a working link. Why is that? I added the plain URL underneath as well so be sure people get the link, and now I can't edit the posts any longer and I don't understand why Besk worked and the others didn't.

    2. Exoshare seems to be long gone and I don't trust Mediafire (more often than not the file is deleted when I click mediafire links), is it okay to use other hosting services or is it necessary to use Mediafire for archiving reasons?

    3. When I browsed through recent "uploads" it's mostly bandcamp, soundcloud and youtube links, have this forum opted for the stream/cloud/mobile way of consuming music? Should I refrain from adding mp3s?

    Hi,

    Thanks for reporting this bug, there was a problem handling zippyshares URLs inside the DL BBCode, it has been fixed now, I edited your posts and fixed the links

    You can use whichever hosting provider you prefer. The guide is outdated and mediafire/exoshare was just a suggestion

    No, please continue posting the mp3. This is mainly a music download forum, there are already many other streaming websites but some people prefer those for promoting their bands

    Is there a bug with uploading as well? I've been able to upload music just fine these last couple of days, but now "Post new thread" only returns a snippet of the "upload to database"-code in an endless loop. :)

    I just did a quick fix, is it working now? If you are still facing issues can you please share a screenshot because I'm not able to reproduce it on my end

    Yes, it's working again! And also a new box has appeared. I didn't see the "Upload an album hosted on Anarcho-Punk.net server:" thingy before.
