I create this post, because, for my part, we saw an attempted fascist coup in the literal sense of the word because his march on the capitol reminds us of the march of Mussolini's troops on Rome and the invasion of the capitol echoes the burning of the reichstag leading to the seizure of power by Hitler.
this day of 06/01/2021 , we saw a failure that should alarm us a little more
I put 3 additional texts on this event.
I'm going to create the same post on the site PIRATE PUNK.
I'd try to put our reactions in their homes and theirs here.

Un fascisme incompétent est-il encore du fascisme ? À propos de l’offensive de l’extrême droite au Capitole

There were many that seen the signs and tried to warn people about the fascistic tendencies of Trump before he became president. We watched him continue to slowly inject authoritarianism by policy, act and rhetoric, and get away with it. Too many people ignored it and thought it is not as bad as it was. There were even some here that said Trump is the same as all the others and it doesn't matter. (I guarantee that had Hillary Clinton ascended to the presidency, we would be in a very different place right now. Hell, any other presidential contender would not be as bad as Trump.)

I guess it is hard for some people to envision what the future outcomes are, in the short term and the long term, from actions that are taken in the present. I remember telling people way back in the 2016 primaries that Trump's rhetoric will embolden racists to openly act on their views, even if he doesn't become president. To be fair it wasn't Trump that started it all, but he certainly exacerbated it. I reiterate, actions have consequences. The way things turn out don't usually happen from nothing, but can be traced back to an act that happened from another act, from another act...

What I'm getting at, is things are only going to get worse. Trump created a political zeitgeist that will make it easier for a true despot to seize power in the US. That may not happen in four years or eight or twelve, but it will come. The conditions are ripe for that to happen. The US is virtually on the verge of being a third world country, where the middle class continues to shrink and poverty keeps rising. I keep thinking that what Reagan did for destroying manufacturing in the US by decimating unions and other policies, Trump will do to agriculture as a result of his trade wars. And now that Republicans have cemented their hold on the Supreme Court, this will have disastrous ramifications for decades to come.

Assaut du Capitole : Une base de masse pour le fascisme ?

    with dreama's reflexions:
Damn it reminds us of Putin's Russia, the two major influences on his politics: the leader of the Orthodox Church Cyril and the leader of the Russian far right (I remember more of his name but he is a very influential personality in Russia obviously ...) who are all three buddies as pigs.
yep that's where my argument "fuck fire would change everything" no longer holds the road, the decentralization of power has prevented coups of this kind until then, that's the whole principle of this decentralization, at least until 2016, because should I recall that for once we witnessed a real coup d'etat with the rigged election of Trump in 2016?Even if it happened "like a letter in the mail" (because democratic processes!... in the US... Please!) without destroying public buildings it's still what it is and we all know, it was an attempt to put a facho in power in the U.S., the world's leading power, to see what it gave ... Ba on is in the middle of a pandemic, on the brink of the 3rd World War thanks to this and not far from the breaking point where ecological disasters will begin to become really, but really SERIOUS... Other fascist candidates to save the world? Concert yourself, then fuck-off and die, it will give your children more chances to get by, without you, truthful ...
In short, interesting topic, and the end, the look of a fascist or centrist power vis-à-vis anarchists, reminds me of the spectre of Maccarthysm, it's disturbing....
