Ok i know this is stupid to ask and i also know that they really don't like selling flags but.... seriously i have been looking for a CNT or IWA flag for YEARS and i couldnt find any, or they just didn't want to sell me one :( No, i am not part of those organisations (i know i'm such a poser ;)) but i would really love to have a flag of either the CNT or the IWA just for the historical signification of it.... it will probably just end on the wall of my appartement next to my red and black flag, my circled A flag, my pirate flag and my "free palestine" flag (yes i am starting to have more flags in my appartement than a nationalist hahaha...) but i would really love if someone can find a CNT or IWA flag and sell it to me !! i can give you a tshirt or something to thank you and pay you for the flag.... but i really want one :(

a CNT/AIT or CNT/FAI could also do the job

Damn Ungov, that sounds like a trophy? Why don't you and I get to Spain and earn ourselves one by joining the front lines? I would be honored... and truly I could go on to the afterlife knowing that I did what really made me happy....

Talking about trophies - we have the union jack & stars'n'stripes hanging in the toilet after capturing it from the enemy... makes really good digestion!

Serious, the spanish comrades don't sell their beloved ones, IWA offered theirs but I can't find it anymore,
ak-press offers the red/black diagonal beauty - a bit too expensive, but ak-press is still a collective...

i already have a red and black flag ... but yeah $35 (plus 10$ shipping) is really fucking expensive... i bought my circled A flag for less than $10 shipping included...

most i paid was $40 for a sea shepherd flag but its for a good cause ;)

damn i really have more flags than a nationalist lol

    I WANT A CNT FLAG :(

the company that makes the flag for Ak-Press is called "Anarchy, Inc"... i hope thats a joke ?

they are but i think that they don't think they are, i mean that had an ad for mc donalds and subway on their site. I know it takes money but to keep sites going but i found that a little weird and hypocritical

Dealing with/in capitalism is always a tricky business 'cause it's always two sided or hypocritical as you mention.
You can spread knowledge and support the movement by selling books and Anarchist flags, good thing - but to be able to do so you have to deal with the rules made by the ruling system to keep your business running: surplus prices to be able to expand, expensive prices because of the lack of demand/request, ad's for muck donalds, to cover the running costs, inc.-terms for law status, paying taxes for income and sales value - weird things.

And it's getting even weirder (bad english?) if you learn about leftwing publishers and distributors bringing up law suits against bootleggers or pirating - but what's the solution?

I live with a family and together we live on very little money - thats capitalism - I can't afford the books I like to read 'cause they aren't sold cheap like the pulptrash in the supermarkets - capitalism again - if I try bootlegs I damage leftwing publishers and distributors - capitalism again and laughing...

Some people around here consider to copy the most essential writings of our personal heroes, Bakunin, Kropotkin etc.
into pdf's and to upload them - 'cause the books are too expensive for people like me and they are only avaliable through a small number of publishers and distributors - they will be damaged if we do the copy/upload project.
If they go bust/bankrupt - no books about whats new/happening in the world, no CNT-flag for ungovernable (I'm still searching...) - I don't have a clue, except to abolish the source of the inc.-problem... \m/

To me, the flag looks simple enough to make. Get the red/black flag, and you could take some fabric paint and stencil the letters on.

    no, i want a real flag :(

i already made a custom red&black flag and i wasnt satisfacted by the result.... the durability is also shitty

i might order this anarcho-communist flag from "Poisoned candy records" but i was wondering what fabric should i take ?

Syndicalist (red & black), light weight cotton $32.00
Syndicalist, heavy weight duct cloth $36.00
Solid red, light weight cotton $28.00
Solid red, heavy weight duct cloth $30.00

i'm not an expert in fabrics, i don't know which one to chose...

Are you just hanging it up in a room?

I've never heard of 'duct' cloth but 'duck' cloth is like a canvas type material. If you're just putting it up on a wall, I would probably go with cotton. But my knowledge in fabric is minimal so maybe someone else knows something about duct cloth that I don't, lol.

will probably end up on my wall, but i might take it to a protest once in a while

i just checked on ebay, most of the flags are made of 100% polyester and i think most of the flags i have are also made of polyester

why aren't they selling polyester flags ? :/

    and wtf is duct cloth

I was going to ask the same thing, every flag I see is made from nylon or like you said, polyester...and I find a lot of nylon/poly flags way cheaper than 30 bucks.

I keep googling and I don't see anything about duct cloth, I even asked a few people what that was and they've never heard of it. My friends and I are into costuming if you're wondering why I know this stuff haha. But they probably do mean duck cloth. In that case, canvas would probably be stronger than the just plain cotton flag if you want to take it to protests. (it might get tugged on)

Guess we got the meaning of "duct" cloth:
the heavy cotton gets even more heavier, if it's raining or the cops deploy water cannons, so the poison candy men/women use cloth which is impregnated against its natural affinity to absorb and store water - analog to "duct tape", which is waterproof.
Ducks (the birds) use fat glands to impregnate their feathering/plumage against water, "duck" tape was the original term before "duct" tape became more popular.

The weight of the cloth is a thing to consider if you plan to take your flag out for a walk, the candyman stated that the heavy duct cloth version is riotproof - but kind of a burden to carry it around. :ecouteurs:

Polyester isn't that healthy in the making, thinking of poor mother nature, cotton or nylon are better materials to prevent enviroment poisoning - RAAN have a good reputation for enviroment care around here, :anti-nazi: doing some guerilla gardening and sabotaging parking meters...

ps. this service was brought to you by the collective efford of the people, including the notorious DIY-brigade, their sewer's special division, the amphibical youth brigade and the typers executive commandos - knowledge to the people! \m/
pps. specuul thanx to punkmar77 for the lurcha y labora poster - the printer is running hot, 'cause everybody wants it...

    thanks for the infos

cotton : is it the same texture and look than polyester ?

also, i know when i will receive my flag there will be folds on it since it will be folded in squares for packaging so i will have to wash it and put it in drymachine.... i hope it will not do like my anarchist flag, as soon as i put it in drymachine the color went from black to greyish

    hi I'm eve,
same look or texture like polyester
It depends what kind of "raw materials" they use, cotton comes in many different qualities - think of clothing in general, cotton tends to be a bit more "rough" than polyester, because it's natural diversity that could not be harmonized completely during the yarn making. Cotton also tends to bleach faster than polyester if exposed to sunlight, washing or getting wet, untreated cotton is not that "shiny" like polyester is.

    bleaching problem
depends again, if they use fixatives to keep the colour in the fabric when colouring. It's cheaper to use no fixatives and many don't care for customers problems after the product is sold, some claim that the chemicals used by industrial production are too poisonous to use - I don't really know, but I doing a lot of dye-ing (don't know how to spell it correctly), most of the gentlemen around here prefer to wear black - I use salt to fix the colour and I don't use the washing machine.
there are some special "black" laundry detergents avaliable, I used some of them and got satisfiying results - they are quite good for prevent the greying, if you use washing machine and dryer regularly.

to get out the folding: Wash it by hand, use some salt to keep the colour in and hang it up while it is still wet, stretch it a bit to help it getting rid of the folds.

Now, comrade ungovernable, you broke my heart with your
    no, i want a real flag :(

and I can ease your need by making you one - just come up with a picture of your personal favorite, they show many different designs in spain, just show me the one you like best. I would suggest the use of cotton for the fabric, but I'll agree to polyester too, it's up to you. to keep everybody's privacy we should use a post box for you to receive it, but it may take some time to make it, and I don't want to hear nothing about compensation - it's for free, we're comrades.

wow thanks, that would be really cool ! how are you going to do that ? screen printing or painting it yourself ?

the image i would like is either the CNT cat or just "CNT" white letters on a red and black flag
