    Hello everyone,

my name is Cody. I’m from Ottawa (the capital city of Canada). I’m 21 years old, I’m vegan and straight edge. I spend a lot of my time listening to music, drinking Fair Trade tea, reading books and taking naps!

I play in a punk/hardcore band called Knives and Forks for Freedom. We’re a very political band, both lyrically and in practice (we’re all vegan/vegetarian, we’ve put on benefit shows, have Fair Trade t-shirts, and donate proceeds from our album to our local food bank). Consider checking out our page: http://www.myspace.com/knivesandforksforfreedom

I also have a blog, where I rant about a bunch of stuff: http://adailydoseofsubversion.blogspot.com/
A lot of the ideas found on it probably aren’t new to people in anarchist/radical/progressive circles, but you might still learn something!

    Thanks for the greetings!

I agree, taking naps is pretty cool. To me, it's just a way to relax and indulge in some physical pleasures, comparable to how some people use substances for similar purposes.

I used to be such a huge Root Beer drinker several years ago! These days I try and consume relatively healthy and/or ethically produced goods though, in which Root Beer (and soft drinks in general) are probably neither.

I definitely ain't preachy or confrontational about being vegan or straight edge though. Being straight edge (although I barely use that term/title) is something I barely even tell people about.
