Oi everyone, I could use the help of some experts ! I'm writing a paper about recent political demonstrations during wich the demonstrators claim to relate to Carnival. 1999's worldwide "Carnival against Capital" is the acme of it of course, but from what I could gather around, it dates back at least to the Stop The City protests in 1983-1984 ("Carnival Against War, Oppression and Destruction"), in which were apparently involved anarchists in general, and anarcho-punk music in particular — that's how I ended up here. So, my questions would be : - do you know where I could find more infos than there is on the Wiki page about the Stop the City protests? - can you think of any anarcho-punk song that would talk about Carnival prior to 1983-1984 ? All I found so far is "Caroline's Carnival" from Alternative (1984). Thanks a lot if you can help me there ! S.
