I love punk music but it sucks to know that I don't have friends who like to listen to the same type of music I listen to. However this will not stop me from standing up for what I believe in and I will still listen to punk music no matter what happens. Just wanna know what you guys think about this. Anyone here is experiencing the same thing as me?

ahh labels and rulesets, Friend there is nothing wrong in having friends that isn't listening to punk or somebody who is around our culture or anarchism in general, i hang out with a bunch of nerds who totally disagree about my beliefs, but one thing is for sure there is no right way to be a punk there isn't any sort of ruleset or "code" you should follow...do not conform, isn't that what this subculture started as in the first place? ;)

It is quite normal to have friends that are not into punk culture.I know a lot of of people that do not like punk, but they are nonetheless wonderful people and i learned a lot from some of them.
It is fucked up if you are surrounded with people that are apathetic towards their enviroment. Those that totaly disagrees with you and your belifes.Such sort of people i can not stand.
I had some "friends" that laughed at me when i became vegetarian, although we grew up together our heads went in another directions and relationship seized to be(like Minor Threat would say)

Punk or non punk, i look for person(friend) that will stick with me no mather what.

Dude most of my friends are rudies if they were to fit any labels. I am the only guy who really likes punk music, doesn't bother me in the slightest, plus Ska is good music. We don't identify with labels though we are just friends who play DnD and do random shenanigans.

I agree on what's already been said about this topic, an trust me, It's good to have friends who are different that you. I live in an area of my town where most of the punks, hippies, anarchiests and so on lives, and that means that I mostly spend time with this kind of people. It's great because we can create so much stuff, but things can easy turn into stagnation, since we're all so much the same. Sometimes it's great to just meet new people who are completely different than you, to get a fresh point of view, and to get challenged on your believes and way of life.

People are people, and I like to think each person is a unique individual, so one should have as many friends from all different walks of life.

Variety is the spice of life, and just hanging out with other punks or like minded people can get boring. (And sometimes it can get downright DANGEROUS. I have nothing personal against the "Group Dynamic" if used as a catalyst for positive change, but sometimes when a group of people come together and they all look the same, act the same, like the same thing, and all think the same, it can be a very slippery slope that can lead to FASCISM. Always keep an open mind, and if you come across somebody who isn't exactly like you, shares the same point of view as you and doesn't like all the things you like, as long as this person isn't a threat to you, your friends, family, or loved ones, agree to disagree. That's my opinion, anyway.)
