Hey, I just joined up after hearing about this web-site from an e-mail sent out from the A-Space in West Philly (a local Anarchist meeting space near where I live). My name's Ed. I've been into punk / anarcho-punk for 10+ years. I'm actually in the process of turning that interest into an education, as I'm working on a Ph.D in Sociology at Temple University and I'm doing my dissertation on identity construction narratives among self-identified members of the anarchist-punk culture in Philadelphia.

Aside from school, I also staff at Wooden Shoe Books, a local infoshop in Philadelphia, work with an anti-racism working group at the local food co-op, and participate in activism whenever I get the chance (I went to G20 this year and have been involved in a number of other anti-globalization mobilizations, anti-war mobilizations, and some other general activism).

Hobbies mostly include reading (largely philosophy and sociology, but also some other stuff and some fiction), enjoying good beer, riding my bike, playing poker, and hanging out. Favorite bands include Bad Religion, Nirvana, Propragandhi, Bruce Springsteen, Rage Against the Machine, and The Coup, amongst others.

Hopefully that's good enough for an into.!

    Peace,
    Ed
