Police asking google to remove evidence of police brutality

Google has been asked by a US law enforcement agency to remove several videos exposing police brutality from the video sharing service YouTube, the company has revealed in its latest update to an online transparency report. Another request filed by a different agency required Google to remove videos allegedly defaming law enforcement officials. The two requests were among 92 submissions for content removal by various authorities in the US filed between January and June 2011. Both were rejected by Google along with 27 per cent of the submissions. The IT giant says the overall number of requests for content removal it receives from governmental agencies has risen, and so has the number of requests to disclose the private data of Google users.

It would be time to start our own video sharing website that would be like YouTube, without ads, without governement being able to do a shit, hosting it in Sweden where it would be safe from a lot of american laws (like the website thepiratebay.org, a torrent / filesharing tracker site that enjoys shitting on american institutions that tried to stop them from their activity).

So say this site does get blocked to american users along with many others. I'm not totally sure whether or not this is true but I heard that if you know the ip address of the website then you can just type it into the browser, periods and all, and it will bypass any blocks and take you to the site. I haven't had a chance to test it out though, seeing as there aren't, as of yet, any sites I wish to gain access to that are blocked.

Could prove useful though if it works. We could just write down the ip numbers of whatever sites we want to access.

If they do decide to act out on this let them. Police brutality is happening right now this second. Someone somewhere is always going to be filming and floating online with the video. They might be able to control Google lets see them try to create a problem for fully anonymous site mainly 4chan or some other crazy little site that's doing the same shit. People need to be aware of this so many people sit inside in a dream state not seeing the reality of what is really happening in their state or country.

As far as SOPA goes they will try their hardest to shut everything down but see how many people get rid of the internet in their homes. No one wants to be told what they can and cannot see in their own dwellings.

Seeing Peer Block being mentioned was smart. Spread that out so if it does happen we will all still be able to have the availability to see what the fuck we want to see.

Common fucking sense really doesn't seem to go far anymore. I was at a buddies house all of 2-3 months ago he has netflix and is really into the documentaries so we we just sitting around talking about Facebook so he found this one about the creation of the site and how it started and how it has become. The guy that started it all has really sold into some pretty devious shit. While in college making some site and a big thing happened with that and even still working harder and harder to create this better thing for people to use hes creating the worst possible thing anyone needs in their life. I've told many people this "Social networking will be harder to quit using than any drug." My point was made valid when all the people I would talk to and associate myself with would rather sit inside on Facebook then go out see a show, go drink any fucking thing.

A similar thing is happening in Canada right now, where the government wanted Google to remove a video of a citizen urinating on his passport and flushing it down the toilet.

I know a lot of people rip videos off youtube, as i do. It would be awesome if videos that were banned could get re-posted to a another site where all the banned videos go to live at...

A mass grave (I guess more of a pet cemetary) of unfortunate videos of which were murdered by the state. Interesting. It'd be a good idea because the aesthetic of the site it'self would already show people how corrupt the state is, and that's before they even start to watch videos...
