Wait; dont forget Henry Rollins; look at this 90s Rollins Band music video
If it had not been for these things, I might have lived out my life talking at street corners to scorning men. I might have died, unmarked, unknown, a failure. Now we are not a failure. This is our career and our triumph. Never in our full life could we hope to do such work for tolerance, for justice, for man's understanding of man as now we do by accident. Our words — our lives — our pains — nothing! The taking of our lives — lives of a good shoemaker and a poor fish-peddler — all! That last moment belongs to us — that agony is our triumph - Bartolomeo Vanzetti

But aren't we all sellouts for conforming to a conventional lifestyle, going to college, getting a worthless degree, getting jobs etc.?
And don't grill me with that, " Oh you don't know how hard it is out in the real world. Who wants to be homeless, etc" shit, because I don't truly know. But I've met people who are broke anarchists, and they hop trains, panhandle, etc, and live an alternative lifestyle.
I'm fifteen and live with my parents, but if I had the choice i would be riding trains, because normal life sucks.

I have to take that back about Henry Rollins. That was MTV in the 1990s when Alternative Rock was popular and not today's bullshit.

I agree man, how is Mackaye a sellout? He's never been on a major, has always worked diligently to make Dischord the most responsible of the first wave of independent hardcore labels and he's always been true to his beliefs! Rancid can't be considered sell-outs since their politics and aesthetic now is as bullshit and manufactured as in the '90s. Iggy Pop was always a pop musician from the old school anyway, and back then it was nigh-on impossible to release stuff independently. So, he may be a sell-out by your estimation, but the thing is he didn't start off independent and then go to the majors- he was always on 'em! Anyway, he's not anti-capitalist (so it's not like he sold out his beliefs) and he's not anti-consumerism (so there's no hypocrisy going on!).

Check your facts, bud- it was an Anti-EMI-Thorn comp. When Chumbawamba signed, Thorn no longer partnered with EMI.

Are you the same person you were 5 years ago? Do you think you will be the same in 10 years? People change. Through different experiences they mature, have their interests change, ect...You're not going to be the same person forever, how can you expect any of those bands to play the same shit for the rest of their careers?
And you call them sellouts? Yeah, they probably sellout every damn show they play.
