10 tracks of English Anarcho Punk for free download from Moshpit Tragedy Records site and comes with downloadable sleeve- just click link http://moshpittragedy.com/info-burntcross.phpIncludes first 2 deleted 7"s- see below for Maximum RocknRolls reviews of these. 1-FREEDOM OF SPEECH 2-ARMS TRADE,DEATH TRADE 3-(S)MOTHER EARTH 4-HATE OF THE HOLY 5-SMASH THE LABS 6-ACTIVE RESPONSE 7-APOCALYPTIC BATTLEFIELDS 8-LEGACY OF WAR 9-VIOLATE (CRESS COVER) 10-JACKING UP JESUS (TOFFEETRONIC MIX) BURNT CROSS - freedom of speech EP Twin brothers, a guitar, and an eight-track with built in drum machine - who knew you needed so little to make such a great record ? In the vein of crass records-style anarcho punk, but more immediate and accessible because of how bare-bones it is. Think FLUX OF PINK INDIANS stripped down to its most charming and sincere, It's pretty amazing. (AA) MRR299 BURNT CROSS - "Arms Trade Death Trade" EP Second uber-limited EP from this mercurial English two-piece. Arresting drum-machine-driven anarcho-punk in the vein of SCHWARTZENEGAR or the STRATFORD MERCENARIES; the vocals are very Steve Ignorant and the lyrics have the smart, informed tone of the guy's post CRASS bands. I'm not saying this is a rip-off clone - far from it - just showing these guys deliver a similar high caliber sound. Like the last EP, this is a ripper, and could easily slip in a mix between FLUX or CRASS and sound as vibrant. The cover is shit, but you can't have everything. Limited to 200, so it's probably gone. Burnt Cross is an anarcho punk recording project which came together in Brighton, UK and is made up of twin brothers Rob Marriott and Paul Marriott. Though formed in January 2007 the brothers are no strangers to playing punk rock and have performed in bands together as far back as kids fifteen years ago. 'CARCASS OF HUMANITY' was released through Pumpkin Records in 2007 as a 10 track CD and later as an LP version through Tadpole Records (recently re-released on to red vinyl). So far they have also released seven 7"s and are releasing a new 12" in Jan/Feb 2011.

"In 1993, the South African photographer Kevin Carter took this famous photograph of a starving child struggling to get to a food center during a famine in the Sudan with a vulture stalking nearby. The photo was published in the New York Times, and Carter was awarded the Pulitzer Prize for this photograph. In 1994, haunted by the suffering and atrocities that he witnessed, the photographer committed suicide".
We have all been desensitized by the statistics. Millions of children dying of hunger no longer stir us. But perhaps this photo can.
We thought this photo would go well with our lyrical subject for "Carcass of Humanity" as its such a striking image and we try to portray that in our songs , please have a listen sometime, our latest cd is also up for download, cheers, Rob
