Help someone out who's getting both police and fascist hassle...

Business as usual for the police (Gardaí when you're in Ireland) - assault someone then put the blame on them. Joseph Loughnane was pepper-sprayed by them at a political protest in September last year, then charged with assault. The ludicrous claim was that he had spat the pepper spray back! Fortunately he has escaped serious charges, only being ordered to pay €1400 to the Garda who he allegedly defended himself against. Now, since he is a known progressive and activist, Ireland's homeopathically small fascist movement have gotten in on this, sending complaints to PayPal and coming out with some serious slander (for the lols: http://www.nationalistireland.com/thefo ... f=3&t=5106). The threat of his appeal being shut down makes things a bit more urgent, so if you're inclined to help, please do!
