    Yo,

Punk band Leadsucker is getting ready to release their debut album, "Burn", on Toxic Highway Recordings August 28th. In the meantime, we thought we'd share two tracks from the forthcoming release. They are "America Doesn't Give a Fuck About You" and "Haute Culture". They are available on the band's Reverbnation page.

Please check it out and leave some feedback. If enough people dig it, I can make sure it makes its way here as a download upon its release....;-)

    Thanks!

Re: Leadsucker - Two New Tracks Released and Pre-Order Available

In the mid-2000s, P.J. Hearn got a job working for the government. His excitement quickly became disillusionment, as he became the target of retaliatory attacks and smear campaigns after bringing to light some "questionable behavior" involving several of his colleagues. Turns out, not only were his supervisors aware of the behavior already, but they weren't too keen on having a whistleblower among their ranks. Furious, Hearn eventually quit his post, enlisted the help of two of his friends, and Leadsucker was born.

Last month saw the release of their debut tracks. Now, the band have released an additional two ("Gross Incompetence" and "C57BL/6") which serve as additional samples of their aggressive, confrontational style. These tracks can be streamed and/or downloaded (for free) from the band's Reverbnation profile and will all be featured in "Burn" their first album, which is dropping August 28th via Toxic Highway Recordings. "Burn" can best be described as hardcore punk, and while it may fall short of being considered "anarcho-punk", it nevertheless deals with similar themes: The failures of American government, the death of the "American Dream", and criticism of American ideals, all in a straightforward, confrontational style that leaves "subtlety" by the wayside.

Additionally, the entire 30-track album is also available as a pre-order in iTunes for the very reasonable price of $7.99, which equates to just over a quarter per track! It'll also be uploaded here as a free download closer to its release. Thanks for stopping by and checking 'em out!

Just a final update: "Burn", the album that Jamsphere hailed as "one of the best punk albums to have come out on the punk scene this year", is now available in digital and physical formats.

Digitally, the album is available from Bandcamp, for just $2, which includes 7 bonus tracks excised from the final album version.

For those that prefer the CD format, copies are available for $8 (shipping to U.S. included; international buyers add $5) from the band website. This also includes a download link for the 7 bonus tracks, so be sure to leave your email address in there somewhere.

And last, but certainly not least, it's available right here as a free download. Check it out, and all feedback is welcome!
