I've always felt as anarchists, we should be for guns in any instance, being that we feel that we are our only masters. Granted, I feel that people shouldn't open carry. If you want to just paint a target on your back and chest while you're at it, go ahead and open carry. Its stupid and can lead to you and those around you getting harmed. But despite my support for guns, I feel that if you're gonna bother getting a gun and carrying it around with you, GET FUCKING TRAINED. That's the main problem for gun carriers, they don't know how to fucking use them. So get a gun, learn how to fucking use the gun, and then if you're gonna carry it around get a concealed carry so you don't have a target on your back for all the crazy fuckers that exist.

Enjoy shooting shit up my dears!

Here's how I see it: Reagan (Yes, good ol Ronny Raygun) passed the Assault Weapons Ban with the backing of the NRA shortly after the Black Panthers (classic Black Panthers, not the NBPP that's around today) protested at the White House with AK's and FAL's. The lesson I learned from this is that it doesn't matter how many Klansmen you have on your front lawn: When you have an automatic rifle then they fucking SCATTER.

You cannot be a political moderate if you wield lethal force as your backup. I don't wanna hear about your blessed right to bear arms. I live in a country that doesn't have that psychotic gun culture that amerikkka has, nor do I want it. Your right to carry is your insistence on using lethal force. What part of fascist thug doesn't that make you.

Before the gun crazies start, I've been around way too long not to have seen and heard all the bullshit excuses. Basically they boil down to either aggression or fear. Neither of which are a rational basis for interpersonal relationships from the personal to the political.
    Enough weenie-waggling with weaponry.

"an armed society is a polite society" kinda hard to defend a revolution without arms.

A traditional (violent) revolution will never actually happen, though. It will be crushed immediately, and no amount of handguns will ever help.

The only successful overthrowing of the government will really happen with one of two scenarios.

    1. After the natural collapse of the world market.
    2. Following an organised fiscal attack. A combination of mass strikes across *insert country here*, a substantial chunk of the populous making a conscious decision to avoid banks, bartering becoming more common than "legitimate" transactions. Basically society refusing to participate as society.

Regardless, we aren't even close to the point at which that sort of an organised attack (the violent or non-violent kind) could actually happen, because we simply don't have the numbers and (call me misanthropic) basically won't... ever.

We are living in a world now where a moderate socialist like Jeremy Corbyn is being treated as an extremist, not only by mainstream media, but by much of the general public.

The political/media machine found a very clever stance, of late. See, it used to be that a certain viewpoint was painted as good and a certain viewpoint was painted as bad (capitalism = good, communism - bad). But, lately, simply having a viewpoint is considered bad. Don't be left wing! Don't be right wing! Be right in the centre. Don't be an extremist, because very specific extremists have killed innocent people. Therefore, being anything other than a political moderate is heading towards terrorism.

If this was just the view of the media, then it would be fine, but this has permeated the cultural psyche of Western countries. A revolution is when the population rises up - but you can't rise up against the populous because, then, you'll just be stamped down before the government even realise you exist.

I don't have a solution, by the way, just some pointless nihilism. Also, nothing ultimately matters because we're all just a blip in the much larger load of pointlessness that is the universe.

    Man, I'm hungry!

I'm torn on the issue, I understand and sympathize with both sides.

I'd just like to point out that I'm ordinarily far more hopeful than I came across, there.

The political dialogue from both ends of the spectrum throughout both Brexit and the US election has really worn me down. I've never been this cathartic in my life!
