Kony is and always has been in the minds of anarchist . This guy and his video what an individualist anarchist is ,he and his friends are getting what they want and putting other in harms way. Kony is not new!! Talking about it and not doing anything is just feeding into the whole thing.

Jason Russell Arrested? Co-Founder Of Invisible Children, 'Kony 2012' Creator, Allegedly Detained In San Diego Posted: 03/16/2012 4:45 pm Updated: 03/16/2012 6:03 pm Jason Russell Arrested NBC San Diego is reporting that Jason Russell, the co-founder of Invisible Children, the advocacy group behind the "Kony 2012" viral video, was detained at 11:30 am on Thursday morning for allegedly masturbating in public. TMZ reported Friday afternoon that law enforcement officials don't plan to bring charges against Russell. According to TMZ, Russell was allegedly under the influence of alcohol. Police also told TMZ that he was vandalizing cars. NBC San Diego released a statement from Ben Keesey, the organization's CEO, noting that the "past two weeks have taken a severe emotional toll on all of us," and that the toll had "manifested itself in an unfortunate incident yesterday." Russell, a co-founder of Invisible Children, created the 30-minute film featuring himself, his son, Gavin, and a former child soldier from Uganda named Jacob. Last week, the film received millions of views and rocketed Joseph Kony, the leader of the Lord's Resistance Army, to fame. However, many were quick to respond with criticisms of the film and the organization's spending practices. Jason Russell is described on the organization's website as a "grand storyteller and dreamer" who dreams of "redefining the concept of humanitarian work" and having "nine more children" with his wife. A phone call to the San Diego Police Department department had not been returned at the time of publication, and the phone line at Invisible Children was not operating. "Kony 2012" has received nearly 100 million views on Vimeo and YouTube. Lol
If it had not been for these things, I might have lived out my life talking at street corners to scorning men. I might have died, unmarked, unknown, a failure. Now we are not a failure. This is our career and our triumph. Never in our full life could we hope to do such work for tolerance, for justice, for man's understanding of man as now we do by accident. Our words — our lives — our pains — nothing! The taking of our lives — lives of a good shoemaker and a poor fish-peddler — all! That last moment belongs to us — that agony is our triumph - Bartolomeo Vanzetti

He don't look invisible to me. I'd seen a Tweet saying he'd been busted for masturbating in public and leaving his invisible children on cars, but hadn't known it was here in San Diego and thought it was a joke.
Well, I did my little part in helping to debunk Kony2012, and so did a lot of other people. It feels great to be one of many efficient, effective, well-informed internet activists all over the world who mostly don't know each other and who almost all acted spontaneously and independently.
I'm sorry that the suckers who got fleeced by Invisible Children won't get their money back, and that the US, which already has troops there supporting the repressive US-backed Museveni regime, will probably intervene in Uganda anyway, but it was good to see this shameless propaganda stunt go down in flames and I hope reactions to future propaganda will be even quicker and more successful.
"For my own part, I have always reproached the políticos for standing in the elections because that was tantamount to wiping out the potential for revolution in economic, political and social terms or, in other words, destroying the very basis of the revolution." --José Peirats, The CNT in the Spanish Revolution, Vol. 1.

Kony is "worse than" two people who did nothing in any way similar, one of whom killed over a million children. I'm pretty sure killing children would really fuck up Kony's operation anyhow, but how the fuck do people get away with propaganda this exploitative? I guess it would be alright if it caused the average punter to collapse in hysterics of laughter... But there seems to be a crowd of young people (I find a lot of 14-16 yeard olds are on board with this shit) who are willing to accept that this guy is worse than Hitler. Are young people today so in awe of the internet that they'd sooner denounce the newest internet evil than just some stuffy old evil that's lame enough to be in books? Or is it this whole internet, 4chan, intentional offensiveness culture where it's okay to make holocaust jokes that makes young people today so insensitive about the horrors of the second world war? Maybe I'm just being particularly crotchety for a twentysomething, but this shit is ridiculous... How about these choice forum/blog comment quotes I found just by googling kony: "Joseph Kony is the world's worst war criminal." "Joseph Kony is the worst living criminal." "Joseph Kony is the worst kind of human being" "I would say Kony is arguably worse than Hitler, Kony just lacks the resources Hitler had." "The only reason Kony is not worse than Hitler is cause he doesn't have that kind of power... Yet " "I would say Kony is arguably worse than Hitler, Kony just lacks the resources Hitler had." Discuss?

My friend turned me on to this:
I kind of like how it ends on a positive note about the power of social media, but I think that viral campaigns only really have a power for evil or at the best neutral mob stupidity.

What annoys me is that people suddenly cared for like a month about that whole issue all of a sudden when I new about it for years. Just trendy kids following blindly for what they think is "right" so they can brag how good they are. I'm not saying child slavery is wrong but that company fighting are just using people.
