Hellking is a Korean-American one man punk/hardcore band from Los Angeles, California.

All proceeds from the purchase of this album will currently be donated to Savina Amalfitano's heart surgery fund.

Savina is the newborn daughter of the singer of ACxDC and unfortunately she needs to have open heart surgery. Many bands, organizations, friends, and family of Sergio (singer of ACxDC), as well as his band have already been doing their part to help Savina. Please purchase this EP for $4 and/or donate more than the purchase amount to help the child have a fighting chance at life.

This is just one of the many people in the SoCal DIY scene helping out with Savina's fundraiser. I saw this from the Resist and Exist facebook page. I guess the guy that does all the instruments is their guitarist now. Good album, really reminds me of some of the Japanese hardcore from the 80's.

I can only imagine open heart surgery on a newborn baby is probably in the 100's of thousands of dollars...

at first we though we were raising 7 thousand dollars for surgery and after care, but sergio just took his daughter into the hospital over the weekend because she wasn't receiving enough oxygen into her body and had to spend close to 4 thousand dollars for medicine, x-rays, co-payments, etc. so expenses have been raised.

she was born in early november, so she is 4 months old and has a condition called tetrology of fallot (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tetralogy_of_Fallot). most common cause of blue baby syndrome. her body does not distribute sufficient oxygen due to the mixing of oxygenated and deoxygenated blood, because there is a hole in her heart between the two chambers. although sergio and alyssa have medical coverage for both babies, the process of medication, the surgery itself, and after care have amounted in the thousands. 7 to 10 roughly. we appreciate the inquiry, because no one really looked into the condition. if you wish to help you can send donations to sergioamalfitano@yahoo.com or you can purchase merch from the band at acxdc.bigcartel.com. all money made from door money at shows and revenue generated through merchandise is to help finance this expensive situation.

Swampfoot, have you seen this? Looks like he actually made a real fundraiser for it. If I'd have known about the CD option I probably wouldn't have bought the mp3s. The 7" sounds mighty tasty though.
