Well all of the classics and such have already been mentioned, so if you want some good newer Crust (well it's a kind of Crust) check out Dishammer. They're basically like D-beat/old Crust combined with Black metal vocals, kinda. Unfortunately lyrically they aren't great, but the music definitely makes up for it. They've got an album "VIntage Addiction" (2008) and an EP "Under the Sign of the D-beat Mark" (2010). Both are pretty awesome, definitely not pure Crust though, however a kind of hardcore (D-beat) is combined with a kind of extreme metal (black metal), plus D-beat's pretty damn close to Crust on it's own. I could see about uploading them here if anybody wanted.

Allright, I'll start doing that...they'll be in other because they aren't anarcho (they take their lyrical approach from the metal side of their music, unfortunately)

Oh, and even though you've probably got all these guys by now, Nausea, Electro-Hippies, and Doom are all absolutely essential Crust.

i don't even know what crust is anymore....i'm pretty sure it's just a bunch of smelly kids who wear dirty clothes, drink 40's, and have patches on anything that can be patched.

I would say a good crust band is Extreme Noise Terror (Although it's also a bit grindy) Either way, it's the shit. \m/

"A Holocaust In Your head" is a pretty awesome album. Raw and dirty as shit, too. And Grind was basically an evolution of Crust anyways (at least at first...Napalm Death, S.O.B, Heresy, and a bunch of others started as Crust or Thrashcore bands anyways)

...Varukers were UK82 and (after a little while) D-Beat...they were before Crust...Crust wasn't around till Amebix, and wasn't widespread till a little after them...plus Varukers aren't heavy or bassy or dirty rnough to be Crust. They are fucking awesome, though.

Amebix aren't really crust either. I implore people to listen to Killing Joke before labeling Amebix as a crust band.

Amebix definitely had Killing Joke influence but that doesn't take away the anarcho-punk/HC + metal sound of theirs...plus they pretty much kick-started the whole idealogy behind Crust as well...do they sound exactly like later Crust Punk? No, not exactly, but it wouldn't exist without them. If you wanna talk about bands improperly labeled as Crust, don't go for Amebix...go for Choking Victim/Leftover Crack or any other Crack-Rocksteady band.

haha agreed with the crack rock steady tripe but i remain adamant that Amebix shouldn't be lumped into crust punk, there far more sophisticated than shitty rip off death metal.

Well it sounds like you've heard the wrong crust then...and sophisticated? Amebix? They seem pretty simplistic to me...like, simplistic on the same level all the first wave Black metal bands were.
