Independent Movies

Favourite indie movies? I love nearly all of Richard Linklaters works, with the exception of a few (Newton Boys and the Bad News Bears remake were less then awesome)

Kelly Reichardt's Old Joy and Wendy And Lucy are both great aswell. I could list tons but im looking for some recommendations :woohoo:

"Wassup Rockers" is one my favorites, though I know many disagree. Also, "Duck Season", a mexican indie film from '04 is pretty rad.

you should check out TROMA films they are independent horror films, b films and have shit loads of titles , they make some pretty good movies such as the toxic avenger and class of nukem high and surf nazis must die , to name a few , they also have an anti sundance film fest that is free to go to and free to submitt your movies called tromadance film fest . i strongly advize checking them out

i hate troma films... but then again they are not for all tastes... on of my favorite indie films was Robert Rodriguez's El Mariachi... which unfortunatly spawned desperado and once upon a time in mexico... but the original is amazing, especially consdiering it's tiny budget.

yeah you either love troma or hate them , its not for everyone , but my fav pretty much fav movie is poulrygeist by troma , about a fats food chicken restraunt built on ancient indian burrial grounds , chicken zombiesssss !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyone seen or heard anything about Exit through the giftshop? It's supposed to have been premiering at Sundance but still i can only find the trailer...

are we talking about richard linklaters slacker? not to be confused with a horrible movie called slacker which starred the american pie actor? RL's Slacker is very much indie, ii don;'t know how you could say otherwise.
