Grindcore is usually faster and more noisy. Sometimes it's pretty hard to tell the difference, but who cares, it's still hardcore :).

And I also have a question to everyone, since this topic is opened. What is the fucking difference between crust and D-beat? :D I think it's the same.

There are too many "cores" out there. You have crustcore, grindcore, hardcore, speedcore, deathcore, nerdcore (Yes that one is real... So I've heard.), and lastly punkcore (not the record label/distro). There are probably more out there but I can't think of them at this time. Why the fuck are there so many? Mostly they all sound the same and I can't tell the difference between a lot of the bands in these genres.

DOOM can be put into the genre of crustcore. They are a lot harder and faster than Nausea but if they are crust then they must be crustcore? :S

You are right, I think people (bands) just wanna be unique, so they invent stupid words and "new" genres :). Not all of them of course. I have no idea what crustcore is :D

And nerdcore, seriously? :D Gonna have to look it up, I'm really curious about this :D

I think once enough bands copy another band's unique style, it becomes a whole new sub-genre. Yeah Havran, I also think crust is basically d-beat . Grindcore is like ultra fast drumming, grinding guitars and extreme guttoral sounds which represent the vocals. Classic gindcore would be Napalm Death, early Carcass and of course Terrorizer who are said to have started it. But Carcass definitely refined it :D

There is also ska-core with bands like Operation Ivy, Leftover Crack(LoC plays a lot of different types of punk music though).

Grindcore sounds more like metal, usually with very short songs (sometimes less than a minute). They play loud with a lot of screamings

There's also a lot of subgenres: pornogrind, goregrind, noisegrind... But hey, don't ask me the difference lol

Ungov, pornogrind and goregring sound the same, the only difference is in the lyrics. I am sure you will know about what these bands "sing" :).

And noise is...just wtf. Really just noise. There is a band from Slovakia, and they play with drills, electric razors, vacuum cleaners...stuff like that :D

What would you like to listen to Stegs?
