We can't put polls on the front page right now, but this is a planned feature. I made a script on our other forum to display the collective decisions in progress on the front page so everyone can see it, i just need to code a similar thing for anarcho-punk.net but for now we will have to arrange something without this script because i already have a lot of things to do

Fair enough, I would imagine you would have a lot of things, take your time. If we do get a poll in, we could have one deciding whether the Offspring or Green Day is punk or not, once it is over that is it. That way there would be no more threads about it. lol I am kidding by the way.. *puts on flame suit*

Again, though, start a new thread and i'd be happy to continue debating.
I don't see the need. I feel I've made my point, I don't think there's much more to say on the issue.

Yeah you are right, you ridiculised yourself enough, no point in making it even worse. We all understand your point : you are an anarchist teenager who think supporting capitalist sellout and commercial bands like Green Day and The Offspring is okay with your "anti-capitalist" ideas.

I'm 25, and I don't think you know enough about my ideas to judge.

Oh yeah, i have read way enough from you to judge you and say you are neither an anarchist nor an anti-fascist, in fact, i have already read TOO MUCH from you to make an opinion. BTW, it's funny because even though i supposedly don't knoe enough about your ideas to judge, you seem to know enough about mines to call me a fascist, an authoritarian, a stalinist and a fake anarchist. Go back listening to green day and defend them, anarcho-poser.

Not really. Nine tenths of that has revolved solely around my views on freedom of speech. I take what I believe is the only consitent Anarchist position and say I'm for it. I also have opinions on art, music, philosophy, economics, religion, etc. ungovernable wrote:BTW, it's funny because even though i supposedly don't knoe enough about your ideas to judge, you seem to know enough about mines to call me a fascist, an authoritarian, a stalinist and a fake anarchist.
I know it's been said before. However, to recap I said you were ACTING authoritarian, and thus similar to a fascist or a Stalinist, which is not Anarchist, by definition. ungovernable wrote:Go back listening to green day and defend them, anarcho-poser.
I didn't defend them because I don't have to. I just said that they were a punk band, up until a couple albums ago when they decided to be a rock band, like Air Supply or something. I didn't say anybody was obligated to like them or their music, simply that Anarchists, or Anarcho-punks don't own punk rock and don't get to arbitrarily say something isn't punk just because we might dislike it. Like I said I fucking hate the Exploited and the Casualties, but (Unfortunately.) it's still punk. I

Ok so here we go, Anxiety 69, Vegetarian Barbarian, Surgery X Disaster, mAquis, Bananaman...will all be restored to regular forum members so we need new moderators.
I nominate Crusty Beckham who has already agreed to be nominated, please feel free to make suggestions for other new moderators as we really need a total of 3 new ones. As of late we have been swamped with both trolls and spammers and I have been working 12 hour shifts at work so I am gone most of the day, anybody who becomes moderator needs to be in agreement with the forums charter and be willing to put in time to the forum itself, also butcher will be stepping down from moderator due to long school hours at some near future time.
Please keep pro and con comments and nominations and votes here in this thread...cheers

I agree with Crusty Beckham's nomination.

Ok Crusty Beckham and Caps Have both agreed Caps: Hey Mar,
In principle that sounds good. Thanks for considering me. I have two slight reservations:
1) I've been off work and so I'm on this site quite a lot (at least once a day, probably closer to three or four times). However, I'm back to work in just over a week, which means I might be on here a bit less. Probably still enough to help out (probably still once a day) but I thought I'd mention it because it would seem a bit odd to become a mod and then to become less active. 2) I haven't done this sort of thing before so I might fuck up a bit. However, some quick guidelines should make it ok.
As long as you don't think these things will be too problematic then, yeah, I'd be willing to help out any way I could.
Feel free to share this on the new mods thread.
Peace
Crusty B: I don't know... Why not I guess. You'd have to tell me about the more technical aspects of the task (I'm hardly the computer expert) but I think I get the spirit of the board. I can understand that you need a bit of help with the flow of outright trolls and really confused posters.
