Emmet Otter - Washtub Bass Wendell Porcupine - Jug Charlie Beaver - Cigar Box Banjo Harvey Muskrat - Kazoo & Washboard "Barbecue""Brothers" The band played in a television special called: "Emmet Otter's Jug-Band Christmas"

Not technically a folk-punk band, 1981 from Finland combine elements of classic and classy vintage tuneful anarchopunk (Chumba, Alternative, Political Asylum, The Mob, Zounds...) and indie/folk-punk sound. They have good lyrics and while a bit too cheesy at times for me (folk-punk inevitably reminds me of vegan cookies, bikes and hipster glasses) they won me over by covering a Political Asylum number.
Again not a pure folk-punk band, but Blyth Power blended catchy punk-rock with tunes and amazing voices with classic English folk music (and folklore I might add). This is a tragically underrated band in the anarchopunk world and yet one of the most original and productive. I defy anyone to resist the impulse to sing their songs while showering on sunday mornings.

HOLY FUCK! I am so grateful that I found this thread. Literally like 10 hours ago I thought to myself that I wish there was some sick folk bands out there because I really enjoy the Bob Dylan type sound. Thank you for helping me discover a new branch on the ever-growing tree that is Punk Rock music.

I really like Mischief Brew, then again I like most of that east-coast punk nowadays, the C-Squat bands are what really got me into punk music as a whole.
