    Formed: 1984. Disbanded: 1991.
    Reformed: 2007.

    Rob "Mid" Middleton (Guitar, Vocals, 1984-91, 2007-Present)
    Steven "Snapa" Harvey (Bass, 1986-87, 1988-91, 2007-Present)

    Pioneering Crust Punk / Death Metal band. Deviated Instinct released a number of albums on [l=Peaceville] before splitting in 1991. Guitarist / vocalist Rob 'Mid' Middleton and drummer Charlie were also involved with [a=Spine Wrench].

    Deviated Instinct formed in 1984 and were a crucial pioneering band in the early British punk metal scene. Along with bands like Antisect and Amebix, Deviated Instinct’s music has influenced legions of bands and helped to define the sound we know today as “Crust”.
