The Pagans are a punk band from Cleveland, Ohio which formed in 1977 and disbanded in 1979, with a 1986 reunion tour since. The original members included Mike Hudson, lead vocals; Brian Hudson, drums and backing vocals; Mike Metoff, guitar and backing vocals; and Tim Allee, bass. @jockwessex: yea, sorry for any confusion, this is the Pagans that were on Bluurg Records. the bios are usually ripped from last.fm I believe, and because this group is obscure, they may not be featured.

It's a shame the sound is rough on the demo, because the Pagans penned two absolute jewels that appeared on compilations ("Wessex 82" Ep and "Is music dead?" tape if I'm not mistaken) with a much superior sound: "Wave goodbye to your dreams" and "Quality of life". Not only are the lyrics brilliant, but the sound is clear and the songs are tuneful, catchy while keeping a sense of urgency, anger and teenage angst. These clearly belong to the top-shelf of English punk-rock up there with Naked, Chron Gen, Toxik Ephex and Demob.
