Diatribe is seeking any footage of the band playing this show, we know the entire set was filmed at the same time as this footage of Conflict was taken....any clues to where we can obtain the footage would greatly be appreciated..:)

And somehow I doubt you missed much punk then... 1895.

Working on the second part of a documentation about political punk in the early 80's in our area, like the mythical "freizeit 81", I found lots of footage in the archives of local tv-stations and the bavarian state television. It's quite some efford to convince them to contribute stuff for free, but I'm still surprised what gems of my long forgotten youth are catching dust in deserted basements - maybe it's the same in Long Beach?

If "mia san dageng" is what you call the "first part" - I would love to know where the politix/freizeit part is hidden?

And STEAM-PUNK - I wonder that somebody remembers it too - too bad that it was more for the girls...

Is there any footage or recordings of Body Count at all? (The Punk one obviously, not the "Cop Killer" one)

Well if we could find this footage they should be on it as it was the exact same lineup at the La Valencia show

Fooling around with google for "Fenders Ballroom" I found this one:
    http://tribes.tribe.net/47b97d83-0dfd-4 ... 53-f479c72
It already started some years ago, but there are still replies: they found Fender's daughter and the manager of the Ballroom, lots of people who were at gigs there are still around - maybe they know someone who knows someone who...

Dunno if anyone got back to you on this, but if it helps i have a compilation tape from 1984 called 'Inner ear damage' that has 3 BODY COUNT songs on it ('Deadly Reign', 'Slaughterhouse', 'Honorable Death'). The comp was put out by a guy called 'Steve' who also did a zine i think, did a few other comps (eg 'Sanitized for your protection' which i think had The Iconoclast on it). He was also involved in trying to get an Anarchist centre up and running in the LA area. The 'Slaughterhouse' track also appears on the 'The A.L.F. is watching and theres nowhere to hide' comp lp (has local and overseas bands, 'Naturecore' are on there and a copy is currently for sale on Discogs). I was told by a friend of the band that the 3 tracks recorded for 'Inner ear damage' was pretty much their 'demo'. GLYCINE MAX from Long Beach used to cover the BODY COUNT song 'Unaware of mass destruction from the sky', and the drummer ('Rick' i think, nice guy) continued to play in bands, i think he did a stint in FINAL CONFLICT and was in BEAT TO DEATH the one and only time i saw them (also featured ex-GLYCINE MAX). Get in touch if you want a copy, i am trying to digitise some old So Cal peace punk from back then just to keep it from dying, i am not selling it.

I Knew DEADLY REIGN from Texas had some connection to BODY COUNT, thanks for filling in some details regarding that!
